Yes, the short end is stuck in the groove and is pretty stable.

Power
I’ll goto to the CTs 110v out at center console rear
But my SM included cable is 50 feet
What have others done for shorter cable or alternative power source?

I'm not sure you still need the help, but I made a step-by-step tutorial for a super clean install and links for all of the parts, along with pictures to guide you. Let me know if you have any questions, and I will be happy to help. https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...mini-step-by-step-install-tutorial-diy.43245/

I decided I wanted a high performance dish, instead of a mini, to maximize my chances for good signal even in the most remote areas. And maximize bandwidth in general.
Starlink performs better in more remote locations. SpaceX could do a better job of explaining how to maximize the connection in more marginal situations. Users on the West Coast have reported biasing the aim towards the ocean can improve speeds by maximizing use of less congested satellites over the Pacific.

I don’t know that either but I have been able to operate it through the roof glass in both my 2024 FS trucks.
that said, surprisingly, reception is significantly better for me in the windshield.
also, for some reason better for me at the back of the roof glass than the front.
I understand the Starlink Mini antenna is quite directional. A vehicle mount can't solve for which way the vehicle is oriented (unless it rotates the Mini on a turntable as the vehicle changes directions, haha!) but it can take into account any obstacles in the vehicle to ensure the reception area isn't blocked by an A-pillar or a roof beam. I don't know what the beam pattern of the antenna looks like but testing like you describe should probably include rotating the antenna 180 degrees in each position it's tested in.

Has anyone seen a graphical representation of the beam pattern of the Mini?

Well, if you mean better in that I can get any Internet signal at all vs. nothing with just my cell phone, than yeah, but I haven't even installed and tried my Stralink HP Gen2 on my CT yet, or tried it anywhere other than in my backyard. I was just attempting to plan for the best with the HP dish in lieu of the Mini. It may have been unecessary and more hassle in the long-run, but that boat has already sailed at this point...
