Cybertruck factory delivery?

Will I be able to pick my cybertruck up from the factory? My order number is 28513. And I want to know if I will get that number in line.

We don't know yet. It has been suggested, and Tesla has done some deliveries at the Fremont factory. The design of the German Gigafactory shows a showroom, and they have a big section of the Austin factory being set up that way (the big 'T' window on the West side).

But in the end, we don't know yet, and won't know until long after the configurator is launched.

A little too early to tell. Maybe after the factory opens, they will mention this? I didn’t have that option (picking up directly from the factory) with our m3, but Covid was also a factor.

Your order number will also likely be skewed based on what model CT you are getting versus what the produce first, for example:
Your number is in an overall list of all orders, but you have to imagine that If they start making a 3 motor version they will start with those reservations, so maybe the second order is for a three motor and the fifteenth order is also a three motor order, those might then become #1 and #2.
then, when production starts for the two motor models, they will go back to the beginning and start contacting those reservation holders. Some will not be ready. Others will have duplicate orders and so some might disappear.
So your actual place in line might end up 26731. Make sure you plan accordingly!

You should have no trouble getting your spot in line assuming you are in the US.

Lots of people want factory pick up, we’re not sure it’s an option. It would sure be fun if we could get a scheduled time and watch it roll out the factory door and pick it up with 0 miles on the odo.

Then we could drive it around the test track on the factory premises. Do some donuts, test out the suspension. Maybe hit a double then head home.

I live in a. Small town in Parma Michigan. It would be nice if I could pick it up at the factory. Someone said they might go to certain sectors first? Not sure. We’ll have to wait and see.

I'm afraid something will have to change if we are going to be able to do a factory pickup. Now would probably be the time to contact the lawmakers in Texas judging from this google search " Texas laws concerning factory delivery of electric vehicle".

Sell the van when you pick up the truck, tell your wife the money was spent on gas and find a casino en route.

Or buy a few shares of Tesla stock at the appropriate time

The laws don't prohibit factory pickup, nor do they require point of sale be point of pickup, and nor do they apply to people not from the state of Texas...

I don’t think the decision will revolve around laws. The big question is whether Tesla is going to build on-site infrastructure to accommodate the small number of people interested in this option. Tera Texas is a factory, not a showroom. They would need to create some area for customer pick up and staff it.
