I read on a different site and consistently see information about a lack of claimable items for warranty. Just would love to clear up the misinformation. Thanks.

Basic warranty is 50k or 4 years, just like other Teslas.

Pack and drive unit are 8 years/ 150k.

Sure, if the failure is due to off road use (for example) rather than materials or workmanship, it's not covered.

First off, US law and case law requires a warranty refusal to prove that any particular action or modification was the source of the failure to deny a claim. So alot of 'don't do blah' are often copy paste gibberish and not legally obligating on your part.

• Battery, powertrain: 8 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period.
• Rust and body panels: 12 years and unlimited miles.
• Sheet metal: Limited lifetime
• Drive Unit*: 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first
• Vehicle High Voltage Battery*: 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first
• Wall Connectors: 4 years for personal use, 12 months for commercial use
• Touchscreen and Media Control Unit: 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first
• Clear Protection Film**: 10 years
• Color Paint Film**: 5 years
• All other things: 4 years, 50k miles, whichever comes first.

Some of these are really short - the Wall Connectors, the interior panels - and some are really long - the rust and battery modules.

It's total BS!

In my experience and hearing from others, Tesla can be liberal about their warranties.

But, if you replace the wheels with snow traks, no, they aren't going honor the drivetrain warranty!
