Or avoid conflict with the people who will be servicing your car nearest your house and go to a different SC. Both acceptable answers if you ask me.

Had mine in service for noise and I mentioned if they could fix the leak in my tonneau. This is what they did no questions asked. Hope it takes care of the issue

"The repair was validated by ensuring the water management channel was no longer exposed" is not sufficient to test that the system doesn't leak, sadly.

(though, to be fair, the issue was titled "Inspect Tonneau Cover for Exposed Water Management Channel", which isn't about a leak)

I know. I did tell them to fix the leak. It wasn’t too bad to begin with. Once I pick it up I will test to see if it helps any.

I think if you say 'I am missing a slat' over 'the Tonneau cover leaks....'..

Avoids 'interpretation' of the service tech in discounting your request.

You are owed all the parts of your Cybertruck....

Show them the this 'Slat System - Tonneau (Rework) Tesla bulletin..BY TESLA

This is why we dislike service centers. Tell the guy 'It's not up to you' and show them this.
Nice. My service appointment for this is next week. Thanks.

I had that leak fixed by my SC one week ago. There is a TSB on it from Tesla and they will fix it under warranty.
Post of my fix details
You mentioned a Tesla TSB for this fix - can you provide specifics that I can lookup / also ask my service advisor with an exact TSB number?

Tesla did the slat rework on mine and I can tell, but still doesn’t stop the water
It's an easy fix that has been documented on this forum multiple times. It's just a foam strip that goes under the aluminum trim cover at the back of the roof glass. An assembly worker at the factory was leaving gaps in it.

I wonder why Tesla is doing all this tedious and laborious slat rework if it doesn’t solve the issue

How was this installed? Looking at your photo and the photo on Amazon, it looks like the adhesive side is supposed to be facing down?
If that’s true, what is it stuck too?
It’s tucked in the channel and stuck down on the seal that’s already there at the same time.

Nope. I did that fix first and rain still got in through the tonneau cover gap.
