Yes, for me the leak was where the roof glass met the aeroflap. Easily tested by opening the tonneau and pouring a glass of water on the roof glass. I could see it pour in before it got to the aeroflap. I fixed it for months with electrical tape, and then 'upgraded' to windshield seal tape.

This was after two attempts by the service center.
Easy fix - ordered on Amazon - I didn't clean it off well so the first attempt 1/2 started flapping in the wind... Cleaned it off this time with rubbing alcohol ..so far so good ... and my FSD for the past couple of days is not nagging me much even with dark sunglasses...a lot better....an upgrade is coming soon....

Cleaning well before putting the seal down is definitely necessary.

Just found a new (to me, anyway) water intrusion vector - it rained here for the first time in a few weeks and I found water in the center of the bed, not close to the bulkhead.

Turns out one of these stems had gotten caught in the rubber seal between slats, and created enough of a gap to let water in. That's what I get for parking under a dogwood tree, I guess.

I left the old seal in place and from below made sure it was seated properly. this worked for me.

The problem I’ve had with all these cool fixes I’m jealous of is that I have a cybertent and the aero cover needs to be removed and replaced each time the tent is deployed. I always click on these threads secretly or not so secretly waiting for some talented cybertent owner to post one I can do also.

my fix would allow for that. the backer rod is just pressed into the gap. no sealant. its a bit slow though. they really should just create a better seal that we can slide into the existing track of the appliqué

You have to remove the aero cover to deploy the tent? By aero cover, do you mean the piece between the glass on the tonnoue cover? That seems pretty crazy to remove that with each tent deployment.

Yes. You do. That’s why they replace the little latches underneath it with a “quick release”.
My aero cover (the piece between the glass and the tonneau cover) is no longer bolted in place.
In fact, I’ve read but not confirmed that newer builds already come with these quick releases in place for this purpose.

Yeah. That cover should have been designed like a big Tupperware lid.

Didn't realize that the CyberTent includes a manual air pump. The bed outlets are RIGHT there!

This is really smart. I ordered this on amazon, I’m gonna do this today and then put a weatherstripping seal over it too. I’ve been use auto weatherstripping on that gap for a couple weeks and that’s been working decent, but this should do the trick combined. Nice work!

Mine is coming today and will be trying the same. Anything to avoid the service center is a damn gift.

Ok. The fact they replace it with quick release makes a bit more sense now. There was someone on these forums saying they had to remove that every time they took their dirtbike anywhere. I wonder if they know about this.

What size did you get? I got 3/8 and there’s no way it’s supposed to fit in that gap

Ok I stuffed the heck out of it in that tiny gap. And covered with auto weatherstripping. I’ve never used backer rod before, do I have anything to be concerned about wet or freezing weather and that foam expanding and causing any other issue?
