What happens if we pass up on the FS CT? Do i lose my place in line? Or would i just be able to order a regular CT as soon as they’re available? Any estimated timeline on those? How many FS are they trying to sell first? Just got the invite to order one and I’m having a hard time deciding what to do.

I don’t think anyone knows. Haven’t seen any posts from folks who’ve passed on it. They plan on selling 1000 FS and I imagine the longer it takes for them to get 1000 confirmed buyers, it pushes the whole timeline back. I don’t see them making the non FS trucks until all FS trucks are gone so who knows when production of the others will start. I’m guessing they’ll keep sending out invites till 1000 chose to buy one. The longer that takes, the longer the non invitees wait. Congrats on your invite. Not a bad problem to have. ?

Is that 1000 number confirmed?

If your reservation is not for a 100k Foundation version. Then I don't see how you would not be able to wait for what you actually ordered.

I believe so when they first announced they were releasing the FS.
words are flying around this forum saying there is no longer a 1000 cap, and Tesla is selling as many Foundation Series as they can.

Wow. It’d make financial sense if they did. It wouldn’t surprise me the profit margin on that $20K premium has to be huge.

I passed up the Foundation truck, simply cause I can't. afford it.

What did you do to pass it up? I just received my invitation to configure a FS, but I can't afford that either. Did you just ignore the email?

This is how you do it.. :D

Just let it go...

A reservation is not an order. There's no reason to believe if you skip your chance to order you will not go to the back of the line.
