Hello, I took my hubcaps off for the first time since picking up the truck about a month ago. I noticed the hubcaps have made white marks on the rims form where the rub against it/clip on. Are these easily removed somehow? I tried just using a cloth and cleaner but they’re still there. Any tricks to removing these? Thanks.

PS these are the Cyber rims and wheels that come with the foundation series.

I just noticed this on mine as well. Also, when I removed them I killed my thumb trying to separate the two parts. I was so nervous I was going to break each plastic clip I went around the whole thing one by one.

Don't separate the 2 parts when you remove them. Just grab behind 2 of the 7 spokes and pull the 2 parts off together. The clips that hold the 2 parts together are definitely the more fragile of the 2 and when removed as 1 piece, it stays aligned to reinstall on the same wheel.

Yeah, they came off as one but when you put them back on the wheel you have to remove the pieces to align with the tire. In this case, I had a rotation done and didn't afix to original wheels. Lessons were definitely learned though.

I bought some small colored adhesive labels, this way I can correlate the wheel with the cover if they need to come off again, it will be easier than checking with one is which lol

With all due respect your answer does not relate to my question. I asked about the marks left behind. Not how to remove the hubcaps.

Oh my bad. I read too fast. Reread that you replied to the other user and their experience. Sorry about that.

No sweat, I deleted my response since it seemed unnecessarily snippy. I haven't removed mine many times since installing. I'm not overly concerned about the plastic damaging the wheel finish, but I can imagine they will eventually pick up abrasives from the road and slowly wear away at the wheel.

I do like the covers, but between being worried about them being stolen and potential wheel damage, I am tempted to switch to the new hub covers they sent out.

I used Bar keepers friend and it brought most off. It is an abrasive so I didn't use much pressure. Maybe worth a shot
