Outstanding TyPope. I listened through them and recognize some of the sounds I'm hearing which I figured were OK. The high freq rattle or ring sound of the left windshield area wasn't in the sound roster though. I'll record it later today.

Coming from a model y, the whining noise was a surprise to me. What I have noticed over the past 20,000 miles is that it seems more prominent first thing in the morning especially when it's colder outside. After a while it seems to mostly fade away. Or maybe it's my own personal noise cancelation kicking in?
Oh you might have the issue I'm having. My whining sound is new and is more prominent when it's colder outside. It started completely out of nowhere a couple months ago.

OK, I made a recording of the rattle.
Ya might be able to call it a ring.
It's up in the dash board area. Seems mostly upper left near the side frame of the windshield and sometimes down at the center bottom of the windshield.

Sounds like a rattle that comes from a door when it's delaminated from the inner structure. Don't recall seeing anyone with a rattle like that coming from a cantrail or fender.

I have an appointment to have my wind screen replaced under the initial 30 day warranty. There was a chip in it when I took delivery of it.
I asked if they could check this ringing/rattle noise while the truck is in there. They said they would have to charge me a diagnostic fee for that despite the truck being delivered less than 30 days ago.

Audio recording: The sound is coming from the bottom of the steering wheel shroud. It depends on how far the wheel is extended or retracted. A tab on the underside of the shroud vibrates against another plastic piece. You can replicate it by tapping the bottom of the shroud. Extending the wheel fully and adding sticky felt or automotive fabric stops the vibration.

A separate noise from the front dash area may be an FDU issue. This happened to me and other members after about 1,000 miles, often first noticed on a cold morning drive. It sounds like air intrusion or a light bearing grind. Does it go away when hitting bumps or making turns? Does it start at the same MPH each time?

Anyone saying the sound is normal is drinking the denial—or Tesla—Kool-Aid and should be eating the cheese instead.
I provided a sound recording of the ring/rattle in post 19. It's definitely coming from up in the windshield area along the left post area. Occasionally, it sounds like its coming from down low at the center of the windshield.

I have a constant rattle that is similar to that one. But it happens at around 40 mph and faster. I had the Tesla tech ride in the truck once so he could hear it. He thinks it was the motor. I don't personally think so. Sounds kind of like that with something tapping on the windshield repeatedly quickly. But mine is constant no breaks.
