Why CT drains the battery so much in sentry mode?

Got my CT AWD for just over a week. Living in an old house and the garage is not deep enough to hold the truck, so have to park the truck in the driveway. I noticed with the sentry mode on, it drains the battery really fast, at about 25-mile worth per day.

Even all the cameras are working all the time, even it keeps sending data to Tesla backend servers, why it takes 10+ kilowatts a day to do so? That's not right. What else I'm missing here?

It is the case.
Currently the truck while idle chews through 10-15kwh per day. Or the equivalent of driving a model 3 60miles a day, or powering some efficient houses for a day.
Tesla will need to correct this if they want to keep up the reputation for green vehicles.
Better off to have an ICE truck sit in the driveway and use no gas for a day than a CT burning 15kwh

The drain with sentry mode in all Teslas is to high, but the CT currently is out of control, I am sure they will fix it or the green folks will come with pitchforks.

Rumor has it, the real reason for draining a lot of battery while out of vehicle is that Tesla is keeping everything awake to upload the data.

It does not appear to be a CT thing but a Tesla thing. Some of the Tesla engineers have tweeted that this is being worked on.

I would agree with this. They need to harvest all the data to feed the future FSD.
