Hey brother, how is your windshield tint? Any waves or distortion?

I just got the truck back on Friday evening and the tent is much better. Looking at an angle I can still see a little bit of a ripple here and there, but now it is almost perfectly clear. They said a few more hot days and even those little ripple should go away. But yeah, it should be pretty clear. I can’t really see it anymore, but I’m in a normal driving position.

Same brand and percentage. They just said the first roll had a defect and they had multiple cars that had the same issue.

they pulled the defective tint off and put new tint on. Same brand as before just the role wasn’t defective the second time around.

Thanks. I’m going to ask the shop to remove and reapply. Their counterpoint has been that the same film was used for my side windows and the distortion is not visible (or maybe angle is different, so not as easy to notice?). Either way, it is really distracting for me on the highways with all the lane lines and it needs to come off. It was also expensive at $600+.

I got my Model Y LR tinted to match the rear and had them put LLumar Air 80 on the front, back and whole glass sunroof. What a massive difference, I stopped using the annoying sun shield, it makes owning an EV in the brutal south Florida sun so much better. I am planning on doing the same for the CT whenever I get mine in December. Is there a better option than Llumar Air 80?
