Like any other surface that you wrap or apply stickers to… there will be a difference to the surface when you uncover it. But what will it take to get it back to original?

I wouldn’t say permanent damage. But still can be a concern.
I wonder if you could get the Foundation badge look after a while of simply adding a decal then removing it… ???
- Correct, this is not "permanent" damage.
- Stainless requires oxygen to maintain the finish.
- Any covered area will have a slightly different sheen over time due to lack of exposure.
- This is easily remedied with passivization (BKF et al) or at worst with a mild abrasive.
- Jalopnik is hot garbage.
