Niceee. I purchased the one all carbon fiber but I wasn't able to install it. The screw was to tight. Did you replace it yourself? You didn't need to recalibrate after install it? No problems on FSD? or any other issue after installing? I really love it but I m afraid to mess it so it s sitting in a box for now. Any advice is appreciated. thanks
Yea the bolt required a little extra elbow grease but i just used a ratchet with an extendable arm and had someone hold the steering wheel and got it off that way. The only issue i had was when pulling the steering wheel off MAKE SURE ALL ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS ARE DISCONNECTED. I disconnected one and forgot the other and i pulled hard and all the internals flew out. I just sat in shock watching the column rapidly vibrate back and forth. After my local SC fixed it I tried again this time with more patience and it was a smooth process. No recalibrating, No FSD issues.

Everyone - Please follow @cypherbeats recommendation. The Cybertrucks Steer-By-Wire system is a totally different animal than the other Models. You can do great damage to your vehicle if you don't follow Tella's instructions. Don't use YouTube videos. Half of the videos out there are garbage when describing how to do this..

Follow TESLA's installation instructions to disconnect BOTH the accessory (blue) connector and the MV low voltage (red) connector as stated here: <--- before you start.
Disconnect MV Power

Then remove your Steering wheel. Please remember to follow Tesla's instructions to the letter.
Steering Wheel Pur Heated (Remove and Install)

I replaced my steering wheel with this carbon fiber and white napa leather one:

I would never do this because I don't know what I'm doing, I'd be afraid to screw things up and I like the OEM one (I have gray interior), but that wheel looks really great with the white interior.

I see your profile says "considering a cybertruck." If you get one (and you should), I'd recommend keeping the yoke at least for a while to get acclimated to it. I feel like a pilot with it. It's awesome.
I now own a cybertruck. When I test drove it, the yokel didn’t seem annoying. But owning it, I definitely prefer a real steering wheel. Yokes belong in airplanes.

Airplanes have Steer-by-Wire, that’s why round steering are a silly choice in them (no hand over hand turning required).

CT is the first Tesla that a yoke made any sense in. S/X yokes definitely look cool, but after trying them I didn’t care much for them.

Has anyone replaced that funky yoke steering wheel (I call it a Yokel) with a genuine round steering wheel? I’m thinking about something like a standard Model S or 3 steering wheel — the ones that don’t have stalks. If so, how much is it going to cost?
I wanted to do this at first, too. Primarily because I couldn't comfortably hang my thumb on it to keep the nags at bay. However, they have since enabled hands-free via the cabin camera and I have no real complaint anymore. In fact, I now am leaning even further into it and thinking a little puck on the center arm rest would pretty sweet! (for those rare cases where I actually steer).

To each their own. Regardless, you'll have to share pics when/if you switch them out. Or, better yet, let us know when you change your heart about it. 😜

Yeah. Like those little shuttles they used to take from the USS enterprise

So are S and X cars with this dumbass steering wheel choice. Not really sure why. I think it’s because people really dig the peeled hot-dog patina they get after about 6 months.
The rawdog loaner car feel.
Come on Tesla. A paid option? For that shit? You couldn’t discount the car enough for me to want that.
Give me steer by wire or FSD I can use 100% of the time and maybe….as is, it’s super ghetto
