You can get your insurance quote early even if you don't have your exact VIN

Remember folks that the insurance company only needs a similar VIN to give you a quote if you are trying to figure out your budget and options. I've done this on a couple of very early vehicles 2011 Volt and 2016 Model X ... just make up the (rightmost) 6 digits and make the rest of the vehicle match your Cybertruck.

Note that the below may highlight the check digit as not matching based on the 6 digits you pick. No big deal as it tells you what the correct one is.
Input box editing is a little funny. Just go back to the VIN input box; go past the character (9th - number after 'D' ... *hit* backspace and enter the number it provided).

You can put a VIN in the NHTSA recall page to see if 'registered'. You'll get 0 recalls or error occurred with request.

I got a quote from my insurance agency without a VIN. $68 more per 6 months than my 2021 S, being sold. My costs are for my entire policy, so the breakdown by car is not possible. But I pay 180/month for 2 drivers for 3 cars; a 2023 Bronco Outer Banks SAS, a 2021 Model S, and a 2021 Mercedes GLS450. Call itx 60/month per car, so the CT will be about 71/month.
