To understand the Foundation series see this thread, but otherwise it appears to be beginning (or at least making its way to the xwitterverse)

Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series Cybertruck ordering begins! $120K / 1,000 Limited Edition 1701880041458

EDIT TO ADD:

from my other thread, as an example in the scenario of a specific state's tax regime, etc. - YMMV

EDIT TO ADD:

Also take note of the verbiage that deliveries have started in California and Texas. I believe this may be more than stating a fact of happenstance, and instead be further signal that the earliest Cybertruck deliveries will be to owners that are close to Fremont/GFTX, in order to allow Tesla to quickly address any issues that may come up with the truck.

And when I say issues, that means at least two buckets. The obvious one is a particular customer's truck has an issue that needs to be fixed. The less obvious one is that they realize a build-wide issue that needs to be rectified in all the units produced prior to that date.

Either way, there are not many people who know how to deal with these trucks yet, and the ones that exist are in Fremont and Austin.

Notice this is the first reference to FSD

here styled as FSD "capability"

So read between the lines here:

First, FSD cost is extra/in-addition

There's nothing on this order page for including FSD yet

So, my read continues to be that Cybertruck does not yet include ability to run AP/FSD, but of course it will in the future be able to have it added

Another interesting bit:

Only $250 due today?

That is odd.

One would think a deposit would be higher.

Perhaps it's special pricing for those extended a Foundation unit?

Or, perhaps as Tesla gets closer to actually building one of this units for someone the deposit comes through.

to watch

And some people were shell shocked when they saw the last price...time to ask Splinter for those meditation techniques to keep them toxic radiation levels down! 🤣

That is right in line with the pricing structure that Tesla initially used for the Plaid. It is interesting that they are including the Universal Wall Charger with PowerShare capabilities. I wonder if it also includes the range extender (since they mention premium accessories)?

@Administrator

the price you’ve cited in headline is for tri motor

the dual motor foundation price isn’t shown here

whether it’s being offered today or not I don’t know, but there will be many dual Foundation units, and expect them to also be $20K premium compared to regular MSRP

What the heck is an “Order Fee”?
Likewise destination fee - since I dont see Texas tax, is this a fee for those out of state that come pick it up - not to be confused with a delivery fee to have it transported to your local Tesla dealer? Or is this just a dealer fee that everyone pays? Does it include a bottle of CyberShine?

Is this from a specific order page for the Foundation that I dont see on their site because I have a day 0 order and haven't received any email, not even the $1000 off another model email?
