Nice work. I've been looking for a mount!

Found this phone mount for windshield. But it works perfect for my V1 (or any detector)!!

Very high quality!! Solid pieces. Suction cup to the rear of the display. It comes with metal MagSafe ring. You stick it to the bottom of the radar detector. And then mount it!

Nice, been searching for better alternive for my V1 for a long time!
Any info whether the magnet interferes with the sensing capabilities or function of the detector, though? I might swap the magnet for a suction cup under the detector, if that’s an option. 🤷‍♂️

I Like nice job.....I have been looking for a good place to mount that can also be easily removed. I have seen a few videos where they they tap into the mirror power which is also pretty clean, but I think I like this better

Meh, police shmalice lol, I took my side mirrors off and haven’t had a front license plate (both of which are “illegal” in Colorado) and never had one issue.

Oh yeah? Well I drive without ANY plates and I let my Driver's License expire years ago (both of which are required in Washington) and have never had an issue! I guess that means I never will?

Love it but do you get any rear radar protection with the tailgate ? Do cops still you radar? Or is it laser? If laser hits you it’s to late no?

Yeah not much rear protection with bed cover closed. But somehow the arrows still work half decent!

Radar vs laser. Depends on location. I see more radars than laser. But yes if laser tags you, it is over. I have had a few times where my radar went off for laser bc the laser bounced off the target vehicle and my radar detected it.

I wonder if a matte finish ct absorbs the laser like stealth fighter haha

I just had an idea for an alternative idea for a solution to this, a wrap with the same coating the F-35 uses, with radar absorbant materials. With the it’s sharp angles it’s got to have a low radar cross section anyway. I’m confident a wrap like this would be less than a million, think of the money saved on tickets.

Hold off on buying. In hot weather, the Mount does not stick well to the back of display.

I prefer to mount it higher up in the vehicle. I believe it will work better higher up as well.
