I saw this one. Wish they would've just taken it to a car wash or something. But it does look like that front passenger area either pooled water and dropped when opening. or leaked.

Pooling seems most likely based on the angle of the slope.

Given the slope of the driveway the tonneau cover (rear of the truck) was dang near level, not the best situation for gravity drain.

The corner that it leaks in is actually fairly well guarded from rain with the roof coming over the cover a good amount.

The leak is most likely just because water is being sent up under that part of the roof and it is probably adding water to the space the cover is stored faster than it can drain out.

I think it's still possible to have some leakage in that corner as well as the driver side corner during very heavy rain. But overall I think the Cybertruck bed seems to be well sealed where it matters.

I also think future car wash tests, at least automatic car wash tests, will also show leaks.

I would like to see a test with someone positioned above the Cybertruck, using a hose or pressure washer from a high angle.

Interesting observation!

Heck, it looks like the Cybertruck bed is drier than the cab of my F-150. Ever since it was new it drips water on the carpet by the passenger floor area whenever it's parked sloping to the right. It drips off the hand grip above the front passenger window. Ford dealers say they can't find any leak but the carpet is wet all through the winter and musty smelling year round.
