The furthest I would tow is about 120 miles and about this weight. Very doable, especially in summer. People here will say they need to tow 2000 miles on a weekly basis.

Things to keep in mind:

Tunnel cover was open

Bigger rims and tires were on truck. Tesla will offer smaller 19s with smaller tires.

With the same setup and those two variables range by my estimates should be closer to 180-200.

That’s not far off from my Silverado towing and I only tow a 3k lbs utility trailer

this setup is closer to 6klbs .

as someone who towed that same 3k lbs trailer with a model y long range for a year (I could only get 120 miles out of it) I’m actually kinda impressed.

I plan trips of 400+ miles.. with a couple more charge stops than I would prefer, but should be doable. Pulling about 4500lbs teardrop.

That's better number although it's a lighter trailer and more aerodynamic load.

Good enough for my use-case as RV puller for our life on the road visiting and camping in national parks.

Rage detriment present
- Low quality trailer
- Vault open
- AT Tires

Range improvers present
- Warm at 64f
- Slow highway driving 65 top end with stop and go
- Charged halfway through 110 mile tow
- Decent trailer aero

Overall a good test of range and better range numbers than expected based on other range tests. Although the low highway speed and stop and go traffic certainly helped efficiency

Nowhere close to the 250 miles many were hoping for with the announcement of the cybertruck but nice to see someone get north of 100

I had thought about recharging with special parking for trailers and other towable vehicles.
Elon and Tesla should look into this idea, to help load the teams, without having to bother other users with their cars alone!

I just watched the video… didn’t he stop at 52% … was the second leg 148mikes and I just bailed early?
