I'd say they have more than just "zero clue when it’ll actually be in production". I mean out of the billions of years the universe has been in existence, you have narrowed it down to "late 2023/early 2024". That seems like a pretty big clue to start with.

Of course, depending on your order number, that date may be way off from when you will actually receive your actual CT delivery.

Probably a good time to mention that production starting does not equal deliveries beginning. Deliveries will lag months behind the beginning of production. Most of us have been hoping for deliveries by the end of 2023, which should be doable if production really does start mid-2023.🤞

The next time I get excited about the CT will be when I get THAT email! At my age-77- the clock is working against me.

Elon's comment that both Austin and Berlin factories are, at the moment, "burning cash" ,points out the challenges any of the EV start ups face. Automobile manufacturing is expensive, and can be inefficient until you scale.

If Tesla is struggling with ramping up its new factories, with the analogy of shoveling money into a furnace, can you imagine the challenge Rivian and Lucid face?

I really hope we can see the interior layout or view selectable options. I need mine to be capable of seating 6 people, otherwise it won't fit my needs.

True.

And how many deliveries happen by December 2023 is a factor. Maybe it will only be a small batch...say 25,000-30,000.

And maybe 150,000 deliveries in 2024.

So unless you are in the top 200,000, you are waiting until 2025.

I have two tri-motor full self driving on order. I really don't expect to ever get them. The one thing we know about Elon is that he does not make his commitments and gets distracted easily. He is just a frontman for the brands, but he has hired smart people. In general, I would also hope that if the Cybertrucks do get built, they do not come out with the fit and finish problems his current vehicles have.
Ever since I was interested in Tesla it's been nothing but delay and waiting. I am ready to drive my ev whether it is the CT or a Model Y.

Frist timeline stated that I think they have chance at hitting. I wonder when we get to know the design details????
I could very much see it being on the 3 year anniversary of the initial unveil. 11.21.22

Cute date, right?
