i live in Sarasota FL with family down in Miami. I am constantly taking trips down a couple times a month to visit them. There should def be a 500 mile variant as this would solve ALL my range anxiety and allow me to run free on 75 without worrying about range. i dont NEED a truck but love the look of it so much its going to just be my daily. would be great to only have to charge maybe once a week. i also sure hope the truck has a white interior option
I have a third on the way and am trying to convince my wife we need Honda MYP AND CT500 ?

Btw take shelter from Ian!

Ian went past here in Panama yesterday. Ian isn’t to be taken lightly.

FL is so going to get an ass kickin’, up the eastern seaboard just respect winds that have already demonstrated an angry punch.

Man I'm glad I got out when I did. Was a fun sunny trip though.

....

I mention this dipshit because while I may agree with him that the laptop could be a bit bigger, the choice between a 14" and 16" screen walks a fine line between objectivity and subjectivity; you can live with a 14 inch macbook pro.

NOT. RANGE.

.....

Whatever the price difference ends up being, if you can, buy the 500 mile range model. It might be a stretch...
500 miles of Bragging Rights. What's there not to love? Way cooler than the most giant tires or the loudest sound system.

And we're talking 500 miles of full self-driving ...

Now what's his iced chatte latte gonna do?

There are ways to better bragging rights than 500-mile FSD range.

A built-in 33 can Beer Chiller set to 36F?

666 miles of range?

That will be 2070pcs of 4680 cells for a 200kWh, 741kg, 2530x1748x80mm pack and $14,700 USD.
Thank you very much. ?

Well the question there is just how many cells can you fit into one layer at all. Those dimensions above for one layer are pushing it already, so if you made a 2 high stack, I think you could easily go 800miles or more, even within the CT weight budget.

I don't think Tesla would engineer an addon battery compartment somewhere. I think the maximum range will be limited to the space in the pack only. Maybe 500ish is alI we can hope for.

Tesla new Adulterator???? joins Not a Flamethrower.
tl;dr
Tesla Cybertruck 500 mile Cybertruck is a must 3A5114E1-59C9-400F-BA0D-F6162B2A9AD1

Tesla are probably considering a s.s. fold-down adulterator.

Chilled & Frunk-y an Octokeg kept 36° would be engineered for Ludicrous thermal reservoir dual use.
A Significant Other keg for <FAV> provides one Litre chilled(milk, beer, wine, Clamato, soda, water…) to serve dual use as Octokeg Buddy and insulator surrounding the core Octokeg.
Franz is designing a new front hood(slight raised projection) for the Ludicrous high performance Adulterator.
Without Adulterator the Octokeg alone transports transplant organs, medicines and insulin 36° serving dual use for picnics and six packs without no new hood upgrade required.
Adulterator + hood upgrade - pricing TBD
Octokeg Thermal Reservoir - pricing TBD
Significant Otherkeg - priceless

so if you made a 2 high stack,
Stadium seating in backseat? Bubbletop glass roof? Or pop-up dome? Raised pickup bed 4 inches? I can accept a raised bed NBD with sailplanes.

Edit: Just P’nPlay a Powerwall under the bed. Fold down tailgate slid-in your PW go baby go! Comeback Home P’nP into house circuit == Dual use

So there was a fair bit of chatter when the CT was revealed that there was going to be enough height in the floor for a double high stacked battery pack, which is what they also need to do in the Roadster to get the 200kWh pack in. It needs about 90-100mm more height, and if it fits in the Roadster, the CT will be easy.

In fact going by the CT floor surface area available I calculate that you will only get around 170kWh in one layer of batteries, between the wheels under the cabin. That's around 380miles of range according to ABRP. That's short around 120miles of battery pack, or nearly a third larger pack required. You can't really go further back because of the vault cover roll that needs to fit under the bed, the only way is forwards between the front wheel housings and front motor.

If you look at the MY structural pack teardown it also has a fairly large space to the sides, apparently for side impact crash safety, so there might even be less area available in a single layer, meaning I think we will probably get a two level battery pack anyway on the 500mile version. BTW the MY actually has a false floor under the seats that is high enough for another pack as well. In the teardown they take all that foam of the structural pack.

I was actually thinking the same thing, that a add-on pack could be slid into the bed and would cost you about 4" (100mm). On the surface area of the bed you could fit another 130kWh of pack, or another 300miles of range and weigh 477kg. You would you have to split it into 8 parts to make it small enough to move by hand though. ?
