No November announcement after all, but beta testing is better IMHO. If they have all the parts manufacturered already it should only take a few days to assemble after they have the casts.
I really honestly agree.
Rather than show us an empty promise, show me the fulfilled one. The tooled pressed machine truck. Made it Texas Cybertrucks are almost here guys. ?

Thinking about it more, if Elon wants to "drive it around" then someone will see it...so surely they'd announce some configuration/features/dimensions beforehand?

I'm really wondering how much it has changed. In my head I keep wondering how much the design could of been optimized in 3 years.

I keep wonder the same thing dude. I’m pretty tall 6’3ā€, that front dash…. Is it really open or is there some box like we saw pictured? Is it still 6 seats?

sighting leaks in the factory are gonna be a thing before years end!

Hey shorty! I'm 6'6" so I'd better fit seeing it's meant to be a full size truck. The front dash is huge, I hope they scooted the front seats forwards though a bit, so the rear has enough space for me too. Rear headroom will be close from what I can tell though. Definitely still 6 seats, folded down it will have the same convenience as a console anyway, just a bit less storage space. It's a waste of width otherwise, and pushes the CT into the minivan market segment. EM has lots of kids to drive around..lol. We might get some decent under dash storage as well, and/or a deep frunk because the dash is big enough to sleep a child...like literally. I actually prefer the look of the snub nose version with all the extra windscreen and body curvature. Still looks "square" but even the sides of the CT are curved like a banana, better for aero and structural, and not to hard to shape from SS.

Earnings are meh. Not great, not terrible, but not going to move the needle.

Hopefully there will be some good news on the earnings call that excited people.

I started another thread to focus on the Cybertruck news.

I feel like this is being SERIOUSLY slept on. "beta" would be THE truck if I understand right. BETA is a to spec final test builds, figure out manufacturing at scale. Or... Effectively a model they could send for crash testing. This SHOULD mean a unit 9k Pressed. Right? Maybe press "snuck" in? Or, they can build it that quick?

Yeah, thinking about it, this is maybe the big news of the event.

I’m not sure this means the 9k press is there, might be 2 smaller castings combined.

But maybe? If they stole a March and the 9k press is installed production start might be sooner than we think.

ā€œBeatā€ or ā€œMissā€ are subjective terms.

The way the market is right now, I think Tesla needed a big beat to really move the needle. Any time you need to explain a big shift in business processes you risk Wall Street missing the narrative.

Would be suspended if we don’t see Cybertruck(s) driving around in Texas by end of year if they said he will have a beta in a few weeks. Obviously the dude has. She’d and can literally leave the planet even if he wanted, but I think they’re saying it’s a Texas truck now? Idk

ā€œbig news of the eventā€ meaning earnings event or release event? I am not reading that clearly

Big Cybertruck news of the event. Biggest tidbit.

Id be surprised if there were a bunch rolling around the state.

I meant around the factory, sorry. Yea. Like on the ground. 2-3 wouldn’t shock me by EOY. I’d love to see 10.

another interesting tidbit was us NOT getting Semi solid pricing. The ā€œ cost of a semi is the same as several Model Y’sā€ bit makes me assume $66k x3 which means only a 10% bump in price all the whole true 500 mile range TOWING full load…. Pretty amazing!

My reservation is screwed if a dual Cybertruck is $55K. Thought I’m getting bigger range and 70K cause more range makes sense for the tow warriors.

A beta would still technically be viable with a CNC machined cast. It could also be using sub assemblies of two joined casts etc. How many 6kt are in GT that are not being used atm?

It could also be a lower and upper assembly for the rear bed cast etc.

We won’t have a clue how many there are!

I would not be surprised to hear there is one cruising around Texas or California or both by year end. They tend to have beta trucks driving around a few months before launch.
