They have stacks of assembled battery packs stored on the upper floor.

That seems pretty heavy.

-Crissa
A huge industrial brake would dwarf a stack of battery packs.

I think that is one side of the press. If you look at other videos, there are two sides like that and a platform between the two. There is also a second hole opposite where this one is being installed.
And the hole they put this one into was only partly filled by this part.

Would eliminating the restriction to symmetric components for bosons or antisymmetric ones for fermions improve the range on my Cybertruck?
This is not a physics question it is a psychological one. Why do you want a longer range / why do you fear a shorter one? Is this rational? What is the goal?
Your goal should be / probably is maximum happiness and therefore is maximum utils / dollar. There are 2 ways to optimize = increase utility = increase range or decrease dollars which has same effect on utils/dollar.
Most ICE vehicles have a range ~ 300 miles this has been optimized for weekly fill ups / human biology on long trips. A change to electric does not change this.
Your likely maximum happiness is ~ 300 miles and since electric has higher utility per dollar you will be happier with electric than gasoline.
But wait you say.... isn't a 500 mile range better always? The answer is no. If you pay more for something you don't need you will be less happy. But.. you say, it takes .5 hr to refill 300 miles and that increases my travel time and the answer is yes it does, let the trip become the destination, learn to enjoy taking a break and luxuriate in your happiness and wealth. Why are you in such a hurry? Is it to gather dollars so that you can slow down and travel? Congrats you have arrived, you have achieved higher efficiency/ you need less dollars. You have maximum happiness and you win at life.
B.T.W the universe is not real.

Are people not letting their imaginations run away with them in regards to how strong the press brakes need to be? Yes the steel is very strong, but the more you score it with a laser the less strong the press brake needs to be. If in order to get the correct shape you have to weaken the crease too much you can always buttress it, weld it, or use the shape of the other folds to reinforce it. Meiji university has whole department dedicated to this kind of thing.

I think the rest of the hole is filled with concrete. These things need some seriously good footing. When you are applying 25,000 pounds of stamping force, you don’t want one end to wiggle a millimeter one way or the other.
