That would be HW5 then. Even a wireless device needs a port to the processor.
It’ll come in via the Ethernet port. Like all data will on the new architecture.
I fear this conversation is rapidly approaching a conversation about Wifi.

Tonneau cover will be the first place that will break on a pickup truck. Looks flimsy to begin with. Compounded with the cheap plastic to keep the price low. This applies to all pickup trucks.

Likely busy improving heat pump, computer chip integration and assembly efficiency problems. Little things ya cannot see on a vehicle designed to go a million miles out of the box.

Over Coax. I don’t think you could do Power Over Token Ring (POTR)… but they would try.
There's no reason you couldn't, the power is supplied in the carrier signal and the token was just to deal with the problem of signal collides and endless loops.

Interesting. I think that’s similar to phone lines then which send audio and power over the same line.

On POE they use a dedicated pair for power.

And those lines ran at 48VDC. Phone company knew the right voltage to use even way back then. Also, when your phone rang, it sent 100VAC over the line. Always fun to call a phone when someone was working with the wires. :devilish:

(My dad retired from the phone company. I grew up playing with phone wire, phones in various stages of assembly along with all the electrical tape and wire ties one could ever want.)

All these years and I never realized I could have been using free power from the land line in my house to power stuff. You could have probably maxed out that line and the phone company would have never known.

Of course… that likely would have been like 500 watts or something small like that. Could have kept the lights on though.

Nope, I've been tripping on the Tesla since learning that the Starship uses Model 3 motors to power control the vertical.

The Cybertruck is gonna be more like a real rocket ship everyday..
