The last 3 cars that I have had, have all been totaled by being hit from the rear while the the car is not moving.
G35, G37 and a Rav4.
I bought the Rav4 as a beater car to get me back and forth to work while waiting on the Cybertruck.
So I had to get another car to wait for the Cybertruck.
I ordered a Model 3 and I had a confirmed delivery for March 31. Because of purchase being in Texas, I had to provide funds and proof insurance to Tesla, before I could pick up the car. So as of March 27, the car was paid for and I provided proof of insurance. So as of March 27th I have an active loan and active insurance. On the evening of March 30th, I get a text saying that there has been a delay in the transportation of the model 3.
When I selected the car from inventory, there was no delivery fee associated with the car. I assumed that meant that the car was somewhere in the DFW area in Texas.
I started texting back and forth with someone at Tesla. ( All of the text are from 510 area code). And it appears that multiple people use the same phone number and you don't know who you are texting with.
They told me there was a delay getting the car from Austin to Dallas and the car should be in Dallas the next day(Saturday). Well that didn't happen either. Then I noticed that the delivery date in the Tesla app had changed to April 6th. I tried texting with a Tesla agent to get an update on the car. They wouldn't/couldn't give me an update on the car, except for the change in the delivery date.
I asked for compensation, because I had an active loan and insurance on a car that I didn't have. They told me they don't give compensation on delivery issues.
So from my viewpoint, I am paying loan interest on a car I don't have and I'm paying for insurance on a car I don't have. And Tesla failed to deliver the car on the date they promised. Which was used as the base on when to start the loan and insurance. As of the 6th, I will have been waiting for a 3rd of a month and paying for a car I don't own.
This has to get better.
