Have you met FutureBoyAI?

My personal hope is this is a bit low and we get a ~375 mile version. I have doubts the ~500 mile version is coming anytime soon (next 18+ months). This will probably take a ~150 kWh usable pack to accomplish. A R1T with ~125 usable on the most efficient version is rated at 328 (IIRC 274 for all terrain tires). Lightning extended range (non Lariat) is 320 with a 131 usable pack. Assuming the Cybertruck is between them in efficiency, 150 usable gets in that realm... 160 likely is there.

Now my doubts as to this being the case are basically due to 4680 production. A pack that size is likely in the realm of 1750-1800 cells (158-162 kWh packs). It took ~15-16 months to produce 9 million cells if I have my timing right. That'll certainly have to increase dramatically in rate, hopefully to the tune of 9 million in the next 6 months and then 9 million more in the 3 months after that... or better. As those 9 million are only good for about ~5000 trucks... and that doesn't include usage for the standard Y.

… without providing a shred of data or evidence to support it.
I think this board itself is the data!

cv, my point was some saying that 350 wasn’t enough because he was going to lose X for towing and Y for mountains without any info on the truck. No different than the guys that say they’re out because the CT doesn’t have feature Z, and we don’t know yet if it do or don’t.

And were my statement made as part of testimony, and I wasn’t considered an expert witness, one Would object as this is obviously opinion and not fact.

Hope that makes sense.

I keep going back to this answer from Franz about range. It's very much up to debate on how each of us interpret it, but his confidence screams "500 miles". Hopefully they give us 2 trim options and the long range is one of them.

I could have sworn I read from a official outlet or podcast with Franz or Elon that the Quad motor idea had been tossed out. Tri and dual at launch. My guess.. 350m for dual, 500m for tri.

I will be very surprised if Tesla offers a Quad Motor Cybertruck. No other vehicle in their portfolio offers quad motors. Even the Semi only uses 3 motors.

We deserve to be surprised.
Waiting all this time! NOT giving up on the QUAD. Imagine the tech in a QUAD CYBERTRUCK ___ BADASS alright!
Front two motors de-clutch once you're at CRUISIN' and only rear two push. Just sayin'

Jesus, how many times does this have to be brought up.
There IS no quad motor.
The tri-motor has 2 carbon wrapped motors in the rear and a legacy motor up front.

I think the only reason Elon MIGHT offer a Quad Motor is bragging rights since Rivian offers it on their R1T. If he does you know it’s going to out muscle the Rivian’s 835hp rating.

Even better, out drag with R1T with a tri-motor CT, and just wax ‘em. CF wrapped plain motors anyone???

Who wants to use a Level 2 charger? I don’t. The super chargers top the list of reasons to get a Tesla.
I can't tell you how to feel, but if you're not using Level 2 charging, you're missing the best part about EVs.

You plug it in, go to the movies, go to dinner, or go to sleep, and when you come back, it's full.

No waiting for a pump or a Supercharger. And you can do this at home, an RV slot, or a motel and completely skip a fueling stop!

I predict reservation holders aren‘t going to pass on their Cybertruck purchase due to “only” a 350 mile range. Even Rivian doesn’t have their 400 mile range Max Pack available yet.
I will likely pass. Had the s ludricris; waited for the 400 mile range s which never came & bought the s plaid. 1st night reservist on the CT looking forward to the 500 mile range. If they don’t come through with 500 it’s a huge mistake. There are only so many times you can disappoint loyal Tesla fans when so many others are chomping at the heels. Service is not the same as early years; nor quality. Network is key, but opening up to all; and range is necessary. JMHO
