This sounds great for Halloween but I hope the low speed sound is either programmable or at least there are some options.

It won't be. Can't change it on any of the cars.

Could at one point. But regulators gonna regulate

Wonder why everyone always drives with the vault open

It can't be good for range, all that loss just so you can use the mirror part of your video mirror or open the rear window

Don’t think range matters for the milling around checklist… I’m sure if they were testing for max range, they’d do different.

in addition to what others have said, there could also be some psychology at play

Even if a particular units video, rearview monitor is plugged in and working, folks can get an extra sense of control invisibility by having the tonneau up

that would be particularly true, if rearward visibility in the cyber truck were a bit rough.

it’s the psychological visibility equivalent of turning down the car radio when directions get confusing

even with the cameras working, I think rearward visibility in the CT is going to have a learning curve.

News stories about CT often include photos/video. When the vault is closed, most commenters demand that "it's not a truck, it doesn't even have a bed, that's a hatchback" :ROFLMAO: ?‍♂

I thought the rear view in my M3 was atrocious at first, but i got used to it within a week. I imagine the CT will be similar.. Never expected to have any visibility through the mid gate, but the huge screen and digital mirrors should be more than enough to get around...

You don’t need mirrors if you drive fast enough
