Is this the range extender?
Good find / callback. I forgot about that.

But yes that's my number one guess, something like that but probably flatter so it can actually hold some cargo too. If it can V2L / V2H to the home when not otherwise in use, I bet it would be pretty popular.

Cause it's probably not a longer range battery. It's more than likely an accessory that goes in the bed and takes up valuable space. I'm hoping I'm wrong though.

@cvalue13 put a theory that it goes in the frunk instead. I'll call that plausible.
I think that is less likely due to weight distribution... If I were designing it I would either make it a brick that into the front of the bed that makes the bed a little shorter OR make it relatively thin and flat and same dimensions as the bed, so when you put it on the bottom it just makes bed shallower
