It would be cool if the range extender was dual-purpose and could qualify for the 30% federal tax incentive just like the powerwall. Act as a powerwall and range extender both.

EDIT TO ADD: it may leave somewhere between 1/2 and 1/3, but not squarely 1/3 - in any event, even if it were 1/3 of linear measurement, a 2/3 shorter bed by length isn’t merely 2/3 less utilit

It looks about 1/3 of the bed length, but there is room above the box. Which is sort of a better outcome than losing 1/3 of the total bed volume.

Still plenty for me, I want to Caravan with minimal stuff.

Hmmm..... Only the cost is ambiguous now. But, I'm skeptical about almost everyone wanting. I won't need and don't want one, personally.

That’s a ridiculously inelegant solution to the poor range they’re offering the CT in. Very disappointing. For a pickup truck, the default range for each trim level should be at least 50 miles higher.
