37's tires (37" x 12.5" inch) test fit on Cybertruck

With a more neutral wheel offset (stock has a huge offset, probably +4 or so but no confirmation, yet), it looks like traditional 35" x 12.5" will work ok. Even the 37s with 1.5" spacers are VERY close to be viable with some mods.

37” BFG KO2s were fitted earlier with our beadlock UP-03 forged wheels. UP beadlock wheels require no spacer and fit the 37” tires. However, UP lift kit plus our further mods are advised for 37” to be properly usable. For most, we suggest 35” but we have solutions for 37” coming.

Aside from the fender well clearance issues,

I'd normally have no problem with using spacers behind the wheels. But there are issues with software that's calibrated for more narrow tires and where the software expects the wheels to track, the speed indications based on axle revolutions would be off, plus the possibly of load and calibration implications on the steer-by-wire system. So I'd want a way to assure the software is adjusted or calibrated for these larger size wheels and tires.

Then there is the extra weight of the wheels which will of course affect range.

I think such extensive modifications would be best reserved for exclusive off-road use where range reduction would not be a huge issue. But if the software isn't compensating for the increased tire size, then the accumulated miles driven recorded in the odometer function will not be accurate either.

I think the larger tires do look good if they can be made to work without the noted issues.

I would like to see range on a soft sandy beach. The flotation of these when aired down should be pretty good, but how often will these only be driving on unsealed roads? I think they are a compromise in the wrong direction.

Having been on the Jeep scene for several decades one thing I know for sure...

People who opt for larger tires on their vehicle don't give a shit about the impact on mileage.

That being said, I'll be more than happy to let guinea pigs IRL test bigger shoes on the CT for few years. There's a lot of structural stress that can come from bigger wheels.

Anyone know the wheel width? That's only about an inch wider than stock. Probably ok

From what I have read its 9" wide, which is standard for 12.5 tires. I just don't know about the inner tolerances around the control arm and clearance at full turn. Would be amazing if it fits- would open up a whole library of cool tire options.

Hold on there, gotta let the cybertruck owner enjoy their monster truck tires! Besides, 37" tires are practically becoming the new stock these days. Just kidding, but don't worry, I'm sure they haven't forgotten about gas stations... yet.

I would think the extra torque required to turn these (steering) would not be great on the steer by wire motors, Tesla is already struggling getting a powerful enough motor for the windshield wiper. Im sure that if it failed it wouldn’t be covered by warrenty, and even if you removed the tires before bringing it in(assuming it doesn’t fail and they have to tow it in from the side of the road) I would bet they would have a way of determining that it’s been driving with 37” tires. Also it looks awesome and I want to do it.
