Don't see a reason why you would loose your turn in line if you pass on the fs. Your original reservation was not a fs build. It's the people who put down a $100 on the 1 motor 39k model that would either have to be offered a different upgrade or wait indefinitely.

I too haven't received an offer to buy, but I did win a ticket to the reveal party. So in a sense I did win and only cost me 3 days of work, an airline ticket, rental Tesla, hotel, cowboy hat and boots and how can I forget about my $74.00 Rib Dinner.
Yes, that's a Cyber rib @ $34.95 a #.

food and drinks weren't included? That sucks. Was food included or extra at the grand opening?

I just dreamed up that Elon indicated 100k this year and 250k for subsequent production.

https://insideevs.com/news/690829/tesla-cybertruck-production-capacity-260k-units/
yes, you did dream it up

and you’ve just linked a story that doesn’t site anything by Musk’s said

I’m not doing this work for you, but Musk’s words have ably tempered expectation that the ramp will be slow, the Q3 report cited line CAPACITY of 125K/yr for 2024, and Musk’s comment was a 250K/yr RUN RATE reached in 2025

Meanwhile, to level-set: you’ve moved the goalposts about what Tesla will produce in 2024 (still incorrectly), when this was a discussion about your assertion they would build 20K units in Q1 of ‘24

I thought this was a discussion about the FS conversion rate, but many of our discussions veer off into other topics. For my part I took off on the definition of "Limited" while, in fact, my hope is that "limited" might be large enough for my RN to get called, because if they change to the non-FS pricing and go back to the beginning of the line, and go more or less sequentially through the line, then my number effectively goes further back. I am selfish in this way.

I do not think there is any way that Tesla will make 20K FS trucks this quarter. I will be surprised if they get to making much more than 500 CTs per week this quarter, and that would bring the total to no more than about 3,000. There are so many variables at play that guessing is more or less a crap shoot, but 20K? Nope.

Address is correct… always has, been as I own Tesla’s currently. I could not have missed the email, as I check my Tesla account 30000x per day to see if I have gotten the invite. So even if the email went to junk mail (it did not) I would not have missed the ability to configure.
did you call Tesla? that is what I would do if I was you.... they must have some resolution script to deal with pissed off customers who have very low RNs like yours.. try that a couple of times ( just in case you get an grumpy Tesla rep the first time).. when you call be nice and excited and genuinely ask for help ... but only if you are ready to buy a FS... otherwise I am not sure how they will perceive your call to order an AWD. GOOD LUCK!

Today's TFLEV (The Fast Lane EV) gave some insight into the likely "take rate" of foundation series. Their reservation was 49,499 in line, and they just received an invitation to order one of the 1000 Foundation Series CyberTrucks. Since they are in the Denver area, it appears that invites are issuing outside of the Texas and California areas. And the math of 1,000/50,000 is 2%. Assuming they didn't receive the last of the invites, the take rate could easily be less than 2%.

My reservation is about 110,000 in line (ordered the morning after the announcement) and I would certainly be among the 98% who are not taking up the invite. If the prices come back down closer to the original prices, I'll reconsider. But the combination of astronomical pricing and the "missing" features has me not terribly interested in getting one for myself in the near future.

Their logic is flawed. They aren't going on sequential order of reservations. I am a minute 1 reservation holder in Los Angeles and haven't received an invite yet. Everything that I can find makes it seem that the location of the reservation holder somewhat matters but the reservation numbers are randomly selected. There are people on this forum with multiple reservations and received an invite for one of their more recent reservations, not their oldest.

I did call for mine and they told me to be patient. That was it.

Good question....... I'm a little further down the list than you, at about 200K, and I'll be happy to see some objective reviews first. Unfortunately I also need more time to convince the wife, because she's not sold on the looks yet. She told me (hopefully jokingly) that if I bought one, I'd have to move out because she's not letting me "park that thing in our driveway". Hopefully she sees some on the road before my number comes up and she changes her mind......
time to park in the back alley... or in front of some widow's nice house :)... promise your wife she'll never get to see the CT until she accepts it as part of the fam.... it comes with you.. it's part of you (unseen as it may be) so that's that :)

You could just wait until your number is called, and see what the state-of-play is then?

Won't even have autopilot. I hope they at least enable autopilot for the Cybertruck fleet ASAP. Paying so much money and can't even get autopilot. I kinda understand FSD, but autopilot?? Come on, man!

I ordered mine within 5-10 minutes after Elon said order. I received my email invitation on 12/26 and I did order the Founders Cyberbeast. Then I ordered a couple accessories.

While I enjoy TFL, they have many facts wrong which makes it hard to take this video in particular as anything other than clickbait. Anyone can make up fake FS production numbers and calculate a take rate based on their assumed place in line.

I don't believe that Tesla is working through a queue of RN's linearly. There are inevitably other, highly logical, factors at play - like proximity to a service center with a Cybertruck-trained tech - that have not been shared with the general public that are likely to matter.

When I owned a BMW X5 4.6is (one of the rarest production vehicles they ever made, think X5M before their product teams agreed to put an M badge on a SUV) there was one BMW dealership tech I found in the state of NJ who was trained and experienced to work on the vehicle. That's it, one. I could only schedule to bring my vehicle in on the days he was working or it would sit until he was in the shop. There is no chance Tesla has trained every tech on Cybertruck, there aren't enough in customer's hands so it would be a waste of training dollars and time now. So of the few dozen techs who are likely to have been trained that's the serviceable radius for distributing Cybertrucks today.
