I'm curious if there's an extra strip of rubber or molding that can be installed on the sides and by the tailgate that can increase the waterproofing on those 3 edges at least?

Also, any thin roof will form condensation.

It's a pain, but why my Zero was wet when I went to go to the post office today. Condensation was dripping from the roof of the carport.

So, light can't get out, but water can get in. ;)

With the way the cover overlaps yea :)
Was hoping that the vault would be a bit more resistant to the elements, in areas of hard rain really don't want that back area contents getting soaked.

That truck had to be parked strongly tilted towards the front for a puddle like that... Probably not a reliable or normal test.

Typical Tesla build quality.

The tonneau cover on my F-150 is totally watertight. Same rollup mechanism. Been through many severe rainstorms and never had a drop of water leak through.
Have you tested it in freezing rain or when it snows overnight? Just curious.
I bet the rolling process would break apart ice chunks, but to what degree...

Cmon guys! are some of you seriously try to justified that its ok for this to leak...? retractile covers have been around for few years already. I have this one on my truck(link) since 2017 and have never observe any leaks until this day. There must an issue with the seals that run along the sides

Same with my Rivian...completely dry.
