If you're going to pay the extra $20K for the FS, I feel you get a lot more bang for the buck with the additional $20K for the beast. So it's a $40K upgrade for the top of the line... mmmmm. I don't really get the much more for $20k in the beast. I'm not going to do many 0-60 runs. And the AWD will still freak people out doing 0-60.

But if you are a speed person,,,,,,, There ain't nothing better!

The word on the street is, if you don't order a FS, your place in line remains once the regular builds start rolling out.

I got my Invite too, and now having second thoughts. I'm thinking I'd be better off trading my 2018 M3P for the Highlander version and have $50,000 left over for other toys ? (but in no rush, would pull the trigger if Tesla let me transfer my 'still in beta after 5 years' FSD.

We ordered the FS. The Tesla reps don't feel the standard vehicle will be available this year. I don't either. We'll be using this as a promotional vehicle. If we get a year of novelty out of it, it'll more than pay for itself. The "beast" looks identical, so there was no advantage for that upgrade. We did order the extended power pack. My understanding is that if you don't order the FS you wont lose your place in line. We got our invitation ahead of others with lower RN's becasue we ordered every option. I met a guy at the dealership looking at the CT on display, and his number was 1127***. He ordered the basic model. Our number was 1128***.
