I just got a VIN as well. VIN 1046 here also IN FL. 12/15 2nd wave order
I believe you're west side Jax? I'm in east Jax, submitted mine on the 22nd of December but for a Cyberbeast. Fingers crossed they'll be building more soon. I check several times a day! ?

I like to imagine whoever is in charge of VIN assignment checks into these threads to see the confusion and mayhem as to their methods.
Tesla has earned so much consumer trust in their communicated timelines that you are resorting to following a thread that some random guy post about asking their website which VINs they activated each day. (y)

12/11 Southern California order still waiting for a VIN. I like to imagine whoever is in charge of VIN assignment checks into these threads to see the confusion and mayhem as to their methods. :p
No, these threads represent people who assume that RNs will be fulfilled in sequential order. That's not the case and hasn't been the way that Tesla has ever done it before.

Even during non-constrained delivery, they don't run sequentially. They don't make vehicles to order.

There is an order, just because you aren't privy to it, doesn't mean that there is mayhem and confusion.

And remember, there are 49 states out here (and a bunch of countries) that wish that Tesla would stop delivering to California, there are already a billion percent more Cybertrucks in California than the rest of the country.

You're taking a lighthearted tongue-in-cheek comment and making it out to be much more serious than it is. I'm not complaining, impatient, or upset. I don't really care that much.

To maybe add some much needed perspective - if you think Tesla is bad at communicating or delivering on a consumer facing timeline then you may not have ever dealt with other car manufacturers and the nonsense of their timelines, shit communication, and blatant disregard for their customer on the strength of the product they sell. Ferrari, Mercedes, Porsche ect, imho are much more obnoxious and arrogant about how difficult it is to get a car, get it at Msrp, or when a car will be delivered. And don’t get me started on supply chain and recall delays. I have an AMG GTR in the shop for over a year and a half due to a part recalled - and being manufactured in Ukraine.

Ferrari won’t even let you order certain models without having bought prior lesser models.

that’s all to say that while Tesla over promises and under delivers on timelines. I will say for a battery and software company masquerading as a car company - Tesla at least tries.

As to there being 49 other states and California being disproportionately represented ….. considering the company was founded here and likely has the most logistics fleshed out from the ramp and delivery out of Fremont for previous models + service and support infrastructure + the most back and forth routes for all kinds of transport between factories - I think it’s not exactly surprising that Texas and California will see the benefit of early deliveries just by virtue of the convenience and logistics of Tesla. But even with all that considered - at no point does Tesla or any company owe us anything beyond what we tolerate / vote with our wallet to accept.

I have my gripes with Tesla and its quality control and am annoyed that the cyber beast is seemingly deprioritized for the cheaper model. If it ever becomes untenable or another product comes out from a competitor to undercut Tesla for my attention span and patients then I’ll quietly move my money and business there.

You, me, anyone on this forum, or anyone walking into a showroom is no more entitled to Tesla for anything than Tesla is to us purchasing their product.

Going back to my first point - to the extent that Tesla trades on a lot of its consumers good will - I might agree with you there, but I’d argue it’s no more than any other company in this industry and space ??‍♂

San Diego, CA here.
Order Agreement says 12/8 order while Vehicle Details in Tesla App says 12/9 order. Possibly because I ordered at 11 pm PT ON 12/8?

No VIN assignment for me as a 12/8 or 12/9 San Diego, CA order.

Any other SoCal 12/8 or 12/9 orders waiting for VIN still?

If it was tongue-in-cheek, then add some sort of indication that it is. Otherwise it looks like complaining.

Did you miss the literal tongue sticking out emote? Not sure why you repeatedly bring so much unnecessary confrontation to your posts.
