Appreciate your perspective. For us it works for everything but 500 mile trips. Kids definitely liked the Ram backseat better. However overall we can pack a lot more in the R1T.2 kids. 1 large dog.
I’m constantly hauling kids to various activities. I took an R1T on a long test drive, my kids kept complaining that i need to move the seat up, it was tight. I really wanted to like it but it felt like an upscale Tacoma to me. Rivian looks like a Fantastic vehicle, but it is too small. I do not go off roading, I do not care about 835hp. Frunk is too tall, gear tunnel takes away from cab space and the bed is smaller than the trunk in my oversized SUV.
For outdoor sporting events, I usually bring the dog as well. For perspective, i have a Toyota Sequoia and during a test drive - the cab in the F150 lightning felt comparable, in the first two rows. The frunk was large enough to live in and the bed was, well, a truck bed.
Just wanted to get the owners perspective on this cybertruck and some pictures. I am a fairly late (2020) reservation holder.
I clearly can not spell or proofread, otherwise my username would make sense.
We like to camp. So having a 12 gallon water tank in frunk with still 60% of room left for camping items is great. The gear tunnel takes a ton of stuff, we put soft compacting items in it to fully stuff it, and we can put our small electric cooler in it. With a quick seatbelt disconnect they can grab drinks from it through the cabin. The bed can either be full of our bikes and I have an extrusion offroad rack that has our rtt on it.
I really like the cybertruck, but am concerned it may not fit our needs as well. The backseat looks to have a few more inches of space so we will see. I will compare the 2 for a year and then make the decision on which to keep.
