IF this truly the most disappointing thing that has ever happened to you, then;
1.) You can't be all that old. Life sucks. Get used to it.
2.) You've never been married.
3.) You've never had kids.
4.) Your work life has been very sheltered.
5.) Your knowledge of politics is limited.
6.) You are putting WAY too much emphasis on a vehicle.
7.) You must have no life.

I can name a few thousand events far more disappointing than this, and they all cost me more than $100. Your belief that Tesla has been "screwing you over and blowing you off" sounds a lot like you are taking this all too personal. Tesla ain't done a thing to YOU personally. They are doing business, making business decisions, and conducting a business. If they could execute everything faster and cheaper and make more while doing it, I have NO doubt they would have. But, like most of us, they are peddling as fast as they can. Unlike the legacy OEMs, my perception of the Tesla employees is one of a group that is mostly united behind a company and its mission. And I haven't seen a single event in any of their history that I would even suspect is directed on a single customer. There was a decision at a very high level as to the roll out of the FS CT. For some unknown reason, you and a whole lot of other people haven't been selected yet. And while we are on the reservation topic, please re-read (or read for the first time) your pre-purchase agreement. Nowhere in there is there a commitment that they will go through the list in ANY particular order related to your reservation number. WE have built that narrative, not Tesla. You are claiming disappointment in a commitment they never made. You have a single sided agreement in mind that they aren't a party to. Sorry, but that is the truth.
Well said.
I’ve seen so many reactions like his over the last few months..
I am excited for this car (and I am still a couple years out).. but my life and identity aren’t wrapped up in it

Wow!…Certainly glad I cashed out 600 TSLA shares at 252 to pay for FS AWD. Still invested, but this downturn pretty tough to take.

That really depends on how many emails they are sending out and how fast they ramp production. What was the month range they gave you? I ordered the day after Christmas and it said Jan-March.

Definitely not January, at this point. Someone wrote that they placed their order on Dec 9th, received their VIN around January 11th and are scheduled for delivery on January 26th. Granted, there are a bunch of unseen factors, but if they are increasing the ramp, March isn't out of the question. You are almost there, keep the faith!

If you want to get a Cyberbeast in early 2024, I recently decided to auction of my order for charity (see Google form for details). I placed a cyberbeast order on Dec 8th and put down a $250 deposit, but I am in a wheelchair and am having trouble finding a conversion company that can adapt the Cybertruck so I can use it independently in my wheelchair. I feel like waiting a few years may be the best path for me.. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.. I am just looking for pledges for a donation. Making the donation will be up to you and you can wait until you receive your cyberbeast (and maybe let me go for a ride or two if possible)..

Earnings call topic that needed it's own thread.

Foundation Series will own 2024 it seems.

Per Elon Musk: Cybertruck reservation conversion rate has been "very encouraging". If the trend continues, and it likely will, all 2024 orders will soon be fulfilled. "Demand is off the hook"
They don't want people passing on the CT waiting for Gen 3 battery and lower prices. I would wait.

A full year's production in 2024 will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 100k CTs (yes nobody knows but it is in the ballpark and a nice round number). As far as we know Tesla is only offering Foundation series so it is likely that all of 2024 will be Foundation Series. A full year's worth of "limited edition" seems a bit excessive.
Pretty sure your ballpark for 2024 production is the wrong order of magnitude in size by at least one. One can say it's too soon to say for sure even though it's almost February, but it should be clear enough in not too many more weeks.

I saw 4 Cybertrucks on a transport with two other teslas (3’s or Y’s or combo). I was eastbound on the 91 freeway the transport was westbound. It was probably going towards Irvine I doubt it was going to San Diego because it was just west of the 15 which would have taken it to SD. Let’s see what’s up. A few weeks ago I saw a transport truck with two Cybertruck near the same area on the 91.

FYI, the 91 freeway in the area of Southern California. This location was coming out of the “Inland Empire” and headed into South Orange County California. Now there are more delivery locations that the last truck I saw with two Cybertruck. Back then there were only 3 delivery locations on So. Cal.

when elon states that all 2024 orders will soon be fullfilled, imo he's talking about FS and their estimated deliveries of throughout 2024 are soon to be fullfilled (ahead of schedule). hence, for the rest of us, production is beginning.
