Guy who what, though?Yep, you are that "one guy"![]()
Has fine to good experiences at dealerships?
Frankly, I think it’s far more tragic that in this country a person can’t easily navigate medical care and legal representation, without far more preparation, knowledge, resources, and self-care.
Whereas something so comparatively unimportant and elitist as purchasing a new car merely requires:
• picking a model/trim that is not in a supply/demand posture that robs buyer of all leverage
• making a take-or-leave offer to purchase on required terms (price, byo-financing, no add-ons)
• requiring the paperwork and car be delivered to my home to finalize sale at my kitchen table
• if terms rejected, wait for one of the other 10 dealers given the same opportunity to respond
Meanwhile, people who *love* Tesla’s model appear to just have an emotional bearing whereby they like to be told a take-it-or-leave-it offer to sell, rather than be the one to communicate a take-or-leave offer to buy
which is fine, but *gestures broadly to the universe* not at all a self-evident “advantage” of the Tesla model
