Why is this the response that anyone has about this? Are you serious? Yeah just don't mind that the windshield wiper isn't working as intended, just live with it.

I do not understand this attitude that all problems must be overlooked in tesla vehicles.

The wiper should not be leaving any streaks on the windshield. Period. It's not designed to do so, and if it was then the design would be wrong rather than the individual part. "Oh it doesn't look bad, just live with it" is an absolutely ridiculous position to take.
Couldn’t agree more. Crazy some people try to gaslight others who voice concern for an imperfect $100k vehicle. So over it. Standards should always be high.

Unfortunately after washing the area with soap the issue persists. It happens to be the area where the wiper meets the arm. Maybe something to do with the extra pressure there?

Anyone else having this issue where the middle of the wiper blade leaves a blurry streak? Makes it really difficult to see out that area.

Possible go into the frunk, remove the tray, see if the wiper motor bolts are truly secured.

If you've never had a wiper that left streaks I don't think you've ever had a vehicle with a wet windshield. Would you go to a service center if a rock got stuck in your tire treads and made a tick tick tick sound? Seriously it's that minor.

lol wtf. This is such a flawed analogy. There are those who see, those who do not see, and those who choose not to see. To each their own, but it’s absurd to criticize the dude who posted the concern.

A careful re-reading of this thread shows that not a single person criticized the OP, not even a little bit.

I think we are mostly in awe that he (or she) already has a real Cybertruck sitting in their driveway and are amazed that the most pressing thing is something smeared on the windshield or a defective or damaged wiper blade.

The next step is to clean it with 90% isopropyl alcohol. It's obvious there is a contaminant on that windshield or the water would not bead so differently in different areas of the windshield.

So many are recommending RainX or other coatings. What does the owners manual recommend? The Model X manual specifically warns *against* using such products.

It’s kind of like Windex, why so many folks are recommending chemicals not recommended by Tesla, this early in the service life is beyond me. Especially those that don’t have the skin in the game of owning the vehicle.

A RainX etc might help, may not look like a big deal but I assume based on the location that is right in your line of vision?

Is there a rock in the windshield wiper? After removing the obvious, definitely go to the manufacturer.

Service center? This seems so unbelievably minor to not claim as service.
With a new product and unknown materials - like the special glass here - I would definitely report it.

Those fan bois who are still making excuses for Tesla that this is minor, Tesla engineering thibks this is serious enough that they have their engineering look into it to solve the problem.

And yes, we should have the highest expectation ls for an asset worth this much.

Didn’t KimJava say in her video that the wiper is confirmed to be getting reworked/updated?

I assume it’s to address this exact issue.

because of the sensors/cameras behind the windshield, these vehicles have to have glass with excellent optical qualities - somewhere between a ā€˜normal’ windshield and a camera lens

I don’t know whether products like rainX or clay bars could actually effect the optics/sensors, or if Tesla legal isn’t leaving it to chance

either way, Id agree with erroring towards caution when taking forum spitball advise
