Didn’t KimJava say in her video that the wiper is confirmed to be getting reworked/updated?

I assume it’s to address this exact issue.
‘Foundation’ series?

more like ‘Foundissue’ series, ammirite?

kidding aside, wiper, aero caps, transport/delivery prep procedures (bc rail dust) are all the earliest gremlins to be uncovered bc they’re the easiest things for reg folks to notice, on the surface and visual.

For same reasons, I’m surprised Tesla didn’t first, before release.

makes one wonder….

It’s listed on my list of concerns for service.
…what else you got on your list?

I took have the same issue and I did clean the windshield with isopropyl alcohol to no avail.
Yep I noticed this after I washed the car and used the wiper.

Also the washer fluid comes out inconsistent and way too little to be effective.
Same here with streak.. let me know if there is anything the service center is able to do.

Is it possible that the arm itself where the blade connects is bent? If it's not making contact it will do this, I once suffered years with a car doing this, then right before selling the car realized the arm was slightly bent. Applied some pressure made it bow the opposite direction slightly and it worked like a charm. Not excusing the complaint at all, Id be mad too. But if they are fixing it, maybe worth checking on.

The reason I say it looks like contamination of a foreign substance on the surface of the glass is because I don't see how a defective wiper blade would make the water bead differently on different parts of the windshield.

In other words, it looks like you could take a new wiper blade off another car, manually wipe it across that area of the windshield, and the streak would still be there. It looks like something got on the glass that shouldn't be there.

Yeah, that's why I would go back to the manufacturer.

A coating malfunction, a stripe of grease, all sorts of things can do that.

I am having the same issue. It's particularly an issue as it is right in my line of sight. I've cleaned the windshield a few times with no improvement. I'm going to add a service appointment as well

The blurry area seems to be following the arc of the wiper. The rubber may be defective, or is binding up and losing contact.

If you've never had a wiper that left streaks I don't think you've ever had a vehicle with a wet windshield. Would you go to a service center if a rock got stuck in your tire treads and made a tick tick tick sound? Seriously it's that minor.
ive never had a new vehicle (with new wipers) ever do this, so yes its an issue and yes service should be involved.

Is there a rock in the windshield wiper? After removing the obvious, definitely go to the manufacturer.

With a new product and unknown materials - like the special glass here - I would definitely report it.

Also, it's important we raise the flag on such issues, bc it could be an ENG oversight that we can eventually get resolved. If enough people have these issues ("minor" or not), it's important that we give our feedback and discontent with such things...that's the only way they could potentially get resolved or addressed.

If I am beta testing an OS or app, I wanna give feedback on issues and possible improvements, that's how we improve things.

"Squeaky wheel gets the grease", no pun intended.

Or the wiper blade itself may have containments on it.

I believe you're right, like I said above. Seems like the blade isn't making contact correctly. Not the windshield or the blade itself. Although these are newly designed blades so maybe it is the entire design?

It does look like there is extra pressure where the arm meets the blade and the adjacent areas aren’t making proper contact as a result.

Most likely both. But the origin is likely something that got on the glass first (since it's a bigger target) and then transferred to the rubber blade.
