So got the CT last Thursday and the gaps in the drivers side door below wasn’t there. Thinking with all the opening and closing over the past few days ? one the hitches has come off center? Going in for service soon, but hoping someone has a quick fix!

That warrants a service request. Though it looks easy for them to fix. I had the same type of problem on the rear falcon wing doors of my Model X. Took them no time to resolve.

Yeah, thinking the same! None the other doors exhibit the issue. Hoping for a quick fix.

Following. Just thought today maybe the same has happened to mine to a lesser degree. But just assured myself I was over analyzing. Now I see this. Thanks a lot lol

Any chance the gap has been like that since delivery and you are just now noticing as the excitement wears off, or do you think it has developed over time?

I had the same issue, it was a quick fix.
That’s great to hear it was a quick fix! When you say quick fix, was it like a one day service appointment? Or did they fix it while you waited?

It was like five minutes. If that were the only thing, I would have driven home with it in that moment (the cosmetic issues on the panels took a little bit more time). Let me know how yours will go.

Did you happen to get to watch them make the adjustment? Was it just the two hinges adjusted via bolt tension?

A simple door striker adjustment will have the door fitment look like an Audi, one of the best in the biz for fit and finish.

You will see the striker plate about halfway up the B-pillar. It shaped like a U.

Sorry, no, I didn't watch, they took the car away from my sight.
Surprised you let them take it out of your sight :)
All good, thanks

I stopped by my local service shop this morning just to see if they could fix real quick. They were super accommodating and got their CT specialist to look at it real quick. He diagnosed the problem in less than five seconds. Apparently the hinge that latches to the physical door was loose. It was a super simple fix, which made me pissed that I couldn’t figure it out because I checked all the hinges and not the latch. Felt like an idiot! They fixed the driver side and made sure that all the other doors hinges were nice and tight.

I’ve had many different Tesla models throughout the years, and lots of service appointments here and there. This experience was by far the best by a large margin. The CT gives you first class service that is for sure! Plus, it was nice talking to the other Tesla owners in for service, who had lots of questions and wanted to take pictures. Happy to answer all the questions and hopefully give them a positive experience with the CT!

Here’s a pic of the latch I’m referring to.
