The Cybertruck didn’t need celebrity approval, unless certain regular folks that preordered couldn’t get the truck cause of personal money/credit reasons

I’m so lost with all of this cause I hear people say it’s no line it’s no order, it is a line etc

anybody have any answers? What’s really going on?

States with CT trained service centers and random pool under 50k order number or so. Just random enough to annoy people but still be fair, without telling anyone exactly what they are doing, so they can change it at any time they like.

Cyberbeast is very limited in production maybe only few thousand this year. AWD is dominant model production. It's not clear if there is any special treatment or conditions for CB that I'm aware of.

It is nothing new really, people with fame, influence, and money typically get what they want before the rest of us.
As far as the cybertruck goes, people with high reservation numbers are getting trucks ahead of people with lower ones due to being in one of the groups above, nothing new really.

Not yet. It will take a few years to come here in Australia and I have a few on order, of which the first will be in USA so I don't have to wait quite that long.

I have put my Cyberbeast FS order on hold (RN11275*). It’s a very early reservation number. When I went to Tesla showroom over the weekend, the rep told me that they will continue to make FS as long as there are reservation holders who are interested to buy. AWD will be dominant during this phase. After this, they will switch to Cyberbeast non FS till they exhaust the list. AWD will take a backseat during this phase. He said it might take beginning of next year or even two years for early reservation holders to get non FS beast, and non FS AWD will be after that. Based on everything I heard, buckle up for a long ride to get your non FS CT/CB. If you need one sooner, FS is the only option. Next best option is non FS Beast. Regular AWD will have a long wait! Everything depends on how many people are interested to buy FS models.

Hate to break it to you, but the rep knows nothing more than we know here. They certainly aren't giving this information to showroom reps. This rep clearly knew as much as the one who suggested charging to 100% once a week as if the CT had LFP cells.

You might be right. Every time I talk to a rep, I get different answer, including one answer that you gave - “you guys know more than us” :p.

However, whatever this rep said actually makes sense to me - Elon said once that CT is underpriced a bit. So they want to make as much money as possible. I don’t see a reason why they will stop FS when there are people willing to buy it. After that, it makes sense for them to switch to the flagship Beast version till they exhaust the list. At the end, it’s a $$ game in demand-supply market. I know this will piss off some people, including me, but there is an option for us. Just buy whatever version that’s currently being offered. There is a premium $$ to pay for that.

I really need a truck by end of this year or beginning next year, and I prefer CB more than any truck, but I don’t want to pay 20K premium. So hanging in this dilemma is so frustrating.

It’s a brilliant marketing/awareness move. Not that production is even close and is years out. Example - the reason Beats by Dre took off was Lebron and all of team USA walked off the bus at 2008 Olympics wearing them. Exposure and sales exploded. Everyone wanted them after.
So 10 or so CTs going to some of the top followed and influential celebrities is nothing. People butt hurt because of those skipping lines is silly.
Now why some regulars like the us who may be day 2 getting ahead of hour one is another discussion

Clearly to me, Tesla has pushed celebrities up the waiting queue, but are they being paid by Tesla?
I read that Kim Kardashian earns 2.1 million(FMD) for endorsing or commenting on a product on her Instagram account with 350 MILLION followers.
When she went out for coffee driving a CT, what I'm perceiving is a photo opportunity to promote her own image by associating it with the CT.

If it really is trending that way, basically it's the Ferrari of our times. I didn't see that coming.

Makes sense that they would keep the price at around 100k per vehicle even after the FS series is over (for Cyberbeast anyway). They just add a 260lb? motor and presto at least 100k in revenue per vehicle again through 2025... Then regular AWD comes more like late 2025-26... with another big FSD push.

Ya but the more “casuals” that think Tesla is cool, the more cars they will sell, the better the mission of changing the world, the better the stock… if like 1/4 of the first builds went to celebrities, ok I get it.. but it is probably less than 10.. it’s good business
