What is "Within Spec" mm for Cybertruck Panel Gaps?

NOT to cause any trouble for my heroes at the delivery centers.. (they really are the best and most accomodating) - but curious if any one knows what is "spec" for CT panel gaps? Is there a standard by which TSLA will stand by?

I don't plan on getting a caliper, but i'd like to know at what point I am being unreasonable if I am...

To be clear, when I picked up my Model Y, they were very accomodating to fix the errors in the gaps..

You can get them really inexpensively on Amazon, just make sure the kind you are looking at are set up to measure small gaps as the standard ones you need about 2mm to the the smallest interior dimension.

Bring calipers. If there are significant gap issues you can document them. Later you can objectively verify correction. Conversely you may realize a perceived gap issue is negligible if it is asymmetric by only 1 or 2 mm. Also if you have a precise number Tesla staff may be more esponsive.

Just for grins, I went to the service manual and looked up fender replacement procedure in case there were specifications for panel gaps. Nope!

I am sure it depends on part, but .5mm.

To my eyes panel fitment is more noticeable on wrapped trucks. This example seems perfect.

What a way to make a Delivery Advisor happy with you.

You've got two choices at delivery, accept or reject the car. If you accept and have any issues, then you usually have something like 10 days to report the issues and then Tesla can then repair them. It may be in a Service Center or remote Service, depending on where you are and what needs to be done.

The Delivery center really doesn't do any work on a vehicle like a dealer does. After all Tesla doesn't sell off the lot. The traditional dealer sells of the lot and you get to pick whatever they have. The generally do a lot of prep work on the vehicle before they roll it out to the lot.

Well that’s not true neither, Tesla Inventory is essentially, “off the lot”. It will be even tell you what dealer the vehicle is located at like a Legacy Dealer. The biggest difference is you buy everything online, the Salesman will text you, and you deal with Finance at delivery without any hassle for add ons.
