Does a crap ton of S&P500 ETFs count? Tesla makes up 1.12% of that... in theory you do indeed own the stock... just through an ETF.

if you had 50 shares in 2016, you would have well over 500 after a 5:1 and 3:1 stock splits.

I have held tesla shares since 2016 too but have bought and sold them at various times and got caught out in 2020 and had to buy back in at $1500 per share. I recently had 1000 shares but sold 1/2 and still have 504 between two accounts.

Trust me I wish I had bought more in 2016!! I was a young man at the time and didn’t invest as much as I should have.

Wait a minute, Tesla doesn’t see you vote for a Tesla board meeting? Does it go into the dumpster? Anyway, it is on Tesla’s IR site that they say that they know I am a Tesla stockholder, not Say.

They can't check today, exactly, so you'd have to report that you still have them.

I bought mine after the cutoff date but I still had the blue button on my account. Whoops.

Are you saying you emailed tesla or you just combined your statements in preparation?

Combine them as they guided on self submitted manual proof. I forget what the full wording was but you can do the Say option with your investment companies. My was Robinhood and Fidelity but Fidelity not longer supported for Say. So I did the manual route. The option was to redact out the account number, address, and other stocks. Just show the TSLA Hold in pdf 1 file. I use my old Adobe Acrobat Pro to do it but I am sure there is free pdf app that does it too. That is why I have to join them into 1. So it was Name, total TSLA holding and proof statements. Good luck.

I was able to register as my shares were previously registered so that I could vote on questions for the quarterly reports.

It seems odd that they would offer this to Canadians as well, as the tesla website in Canada doesn't have any pricing for the CT or anything else other than an option to place a reservation and the appearance of your registration on your home page.

Trust me I wish I had bought more in 2016!! I was a young man at the time and didn’t invest as much as I should have. It still not too late as many investors think. I got a feeling Tesla TSLA will hover $100 to $200 price for few yrs. So buy it at the dip.

regulators wouldnt let the company that you are voting on run the voting apparatus. thats a huge confict of interest, it would be like the RNC or DNC running the voting process in the USA.

they get the results, but dont get the details. you have to validate your a shareholder one time (through a third party page) then they let you through and must mark your tesla account, but i highly doubt they get detailed info about your investments.

I can take advantage of this offer. I'm tentatively scheduled for February 2025.
I'd rather get pushed back in the queue hoping for closer to the original promoted range of 500 mile range and if that doesn't happen Toyota's solid state battery with a 600 to 700 mile should be available by then. I have waited this long what's another year or three.

It is easy for me to prove how many shares I own today. How do I prove how many I owned in 2021. I have my own records but that is not brokerage records. Can I ask Schwab toprovide me that data, or is it there already?
