Roof rail is a little off, Tesla service say it's within standards and no adjusments needed.

Just wanted to share a frustrating experience I had with Tesla's service center. I brought my Cybertruck in for a minor issue with the roof rail trim. It's just a bit off at the end, nothing major. When I arrived, the service advisor greeted me warmly and told me I'm a VIP customer because, well, it's a Cybertruck.
But to my surprise, after inspecting the trim, they informed me that it's within Tesla's standards and refused to make any adjustments. They kindly sent me on my way without addressing the issue.
Now, I'm left wondering: Am I being too picky here? After all, it's just a small imperfection. But then again, shouldn't a premium vehicle warrant a premium level of attention to detail? I attached a picture for reference. Take a look and let me know what you think. Should I push harder for a fix, or am I overreacting?

Personal preference... Also, apparently a controversial topic, but- i feel if you're paying ~$100k for a brand new vehicle it should meet your quality expectations, not theirs. Ultimately, you have to be the one to decide if those issues are enough to refuse the delivery, or just accept (and maybe fix or get fixed, if possible).

Congratulations though! She's still a beaut!

Mine is off on both sides, around 1mm, so I would say it is in Tesla's spec. From your picture, it looks not bad in my opinion.

This is a known issue with all the Cybertrucks. Like an early X where the door handles don't align, this will be perfect in a couple of years. There are also other places which don't align. Look at your A-pillar on the passenger side, and also check your hood.

I feel your concern... but if you really feel badly about it, let it go.

These humans may not share your concern.

Yes, it wasn't a major issue, but I was really counting on them to address it, especially since it appears to be a straightforward fix and they've successfully resolved similar problems for others without any issues. I suppose I'm not really considered a "VIP" after all. ?‍♂

I don’t buy that that is within tolerance. I have had Tesla service out to fix my windows that keep not closing on lock and they say the same thing and go away. It’s BS. Now, I love my Tesla but I do not love some things about Tesla as a company.

Might have better luck if you tried in April. They are neck deep in end of quarter craziness now.

I gotta say... To all of you that got your truck and still help keep everyone informed here, it's definitely appreciated.

There are a few people that were frequent posters, then stopped hearing from them after they got their trucks, which is cool and all, but your continued inputs are appreciated.

wonder if taking your CT to a different service center might help?
I might consider checking out another service center. I've just noticed that the frunk isn't aligned properly with the side, and the seals are protruding slightly.

I'm located in Southern California. Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable service center to address these issues?

I’ve had great experience with the West Covina SC (formerly Walnut/Pomona). But I’m not sure if they have any CT trained techs.
