Yea this is a replace the truck or send it to TX kind of situation. The wiring harness is located in such a way and with so many connections it is not a quick or easy fix, one of about 20 parts that is critical to the vehicle and very difficult to replace.

No, so far they've tried to fix them in the service centers.

Honestly, they should probably take them back to a central point and send out new trucks. But that would reduce their delivery count.

My son's truck had this issue, left him and his family stuck on the highway hundreds of miles form home. Since then I have been following other cases of the same failure and no one has had a fix yet despite several service centers keeping them for weeks. These will end up going back to TX for disasembly and replacement or the trucks will get replaced in time. The real question is how many more of these are there on the road.

I'm wondering if this is a part issue or an assembly issue.

I wish I knew, Tesla has given basically no information. Could be a vendor supplied part or part of assembly process. Tesla needs to get these trucks shipped out but can't afford to have a high percentage go out with these problems.

Tesla is fortunate to say the least to have an ample supply of people willing to pay 100K+ to beta test the CT. Lesson learned by watching. I will never be in a rush to be an early adopter of a Tesla vehicle.

You shouldn't be in a rush to get any first-run thing if you don't want to be subject to random chance of getting something that didn't work out as planned or designed. This is not specific to Tesla. Mach-Es were en mass under a vehicle stoppage a year ago. BZ4Xs were completely under a stop sale and replacement for several different parts. The iPace - yeah, that one from 2019 - is under recall and don't-park-under-structures order again.

Took delivery today, AWD.. made it 1 mile down road, started getting steering error, flashing red screen, pulled off side of highway now the truck is dead and I’m waiting for a tow truck. Dealer couldn’t do anything for me. It was great for 5 minutes.. tried everything, restarting, screen is stuck black and keeps beeping

tesla really rushed these trucks out, what a nightmare.

I haven’t messed with most of the features yet as during my delivery I asked the delivery assigned technician about replacement/repair items and he said that there is a backlog for many parts with no ETAs. “Knowing is helpful.”

The odds of this happening are not large. Anyone with this type of problem will be more represented in a forum because they have no truck to be distracted by, and are angry and need to solace their frustrations and fears.

What you described happened, had nothing to do with the delivery, the "delivery" occurred when you arrived at the dealership and they presented you with the truck, and everything that took place in the dealership before you drove off. The unfortunate events that ocured once you drove away from the dealer, had NOTHING to do with the "delivery"...you follow?
SO, the title of your post "Worse delivery of my life..." is simply false.
Your sales guy nor the dealership you picked up from diserve the bad rap. This is crazy that you and all these trolls commenting on my comment don't get this.
It's not that we don't get that you are a pedant. We just don't care.
