Fact is that software engineers are typically well under 50 with good eyesight. If 60 year + software engineers were in charge we would have larger fonts for much easier reading.

I hope I'll fall in love with it later.

I'm from Benz and I've used gas and hybrid vehicles, this is the first time with electric one.

Things I dislike:

- Gas pedal: it startled me when first time I released the gas pedal to put my foot on the brake. It brakes immediately when I removed my foot off the gas for re-gen. I know I can adjust it later but still I just want to put my foot on brake when slowing down or braking. There's a thread a member hit the light pole when turning I guess because of this.

- My aging eyes, just a few more years to retire, don't like the screen no matter the brightness. I need glasses to see that screen but not for driving. So I put my glasses down on the center console and use it to see what's going on behind me with that little rectangle screen of the rear camera, or read what data on it.

- Arrows of the turning signals: I prefer the levers better.

- Side mirrors: small with weird shapes.

- My iPhone's battery is draining faster.

- Road noises: I hope it might get better because of new tires. The ODO was only 14 miles when I picked up yesterday.

- Too much attentions from people.

Things I like:

- Not sure what. Probably the tough body and glasses: the reason I put down $100 deposit in Nov, 2019. I hate to see the first scratch, dent, ding, ... on the new car's paint.

When I rent gas cars now, having been driving Tesla for nearly a decade I feel they are out of control when they don't slow down after "releasing the gas pedal." Still funny to say...
Lol same here. It takes me awhile to get used to the gas car again.

The wireless charger overheats my iphone very quickly. Seems like it needs an AC vent near it.

Crissa, You just have to feather onto and off the pedals. It's not supposed to be 100% and 0%. With slight practice it is very smooth. You will be able to slow to a stop without hitting the brake, and everything will be smooth and nothing close to motion sickness. Just takes a bit of practice. I bet you'll ace it in the first 20 miles or so.
That's a pain. Worse than a clutch. You're always on, so it's exhausting.

Tho, you should see my spouse's screen. Everything is so tiny. You wouldn't be happy.

Literally everything you mention are things I love about the truck, better versions of features I’ve experienced in other Teslas, and some of the reasons I will spend more than I anticipated in order to own this model. I’m not sure how you got here but sadly I‘m not sure you belong. That is not to say you are not welcome, but rather to express confusion as to how you ended up here with us early adopters, EV enthusiasts, and gluttons for bleeding edge technology.

What!? I have a Google... But still this is the first I am hearing of this.
You don't need Google, just keep scrolling on this forum. Iphone gets crazy hot in about 5mins on the wireless charger, in a bunch of review videos and ask anyone who has put their phone on the wireless charger. Bakes them.

Nah. It's a subconscious motor skill thing. I don't even think about it. Getting to my street, I let off the go pedal at a certain point, coast down to a slow turnable speed, etc. Usually, the only time I hit the brakes is if the car is really cold or at the start of a trip where we've charged to 100% (limited/no regen). Driving both types of vehicles, I feel it's much more of a chore two-pedal driving the ICE F150 and Impreza.
Hopefully a year from now we'll have our non-FS trucks and we'll see how easily you adapt to it! ?

For members saying I need to feather the gas pedal: I posted I've used a hybrid and pretty good with "hypermiling". One time I got 112 miles/gallon. Also, it startled me "first time and only time", no trouble after that.

About one pedal driving: I've missed Stick.

Sounds like you shouldn’t do it
Stick with a Merc
You're from Germany I guess. My cousin is still living there and call them Merc, not Benz.

And Merc has electric vehicles too.

Well, my first sentence is not I hate this truck. About technology Merc/Benz is not that far behind Tesla. Depends on what model they even have classes to teach customers how to use their vehicles. On the side, I'm working in IT.

Yeah, you don't think. Got it.

Holding a muscle group steady is something that athletic people never think about, but the rest of us do.

So I don't like it. I'd druther a clutch.

On the Model 3 and Y you can make the text on the screen slightly bigger in the settings, under Display settings I think. You should see if the Cybertruck has that seeing and if it helps you see better. You can also try changing the display to Light or Dark mode instead of automatic and see if that helps as well.
It does not look like it is in the Cybertruck yet that I could find!

Your brain will quickly remap the regenerative braking and will Love it

kind of how i had to remap the drive by wire and four wheel steering

the suspension and ventilated seats were the first drive positive things i noted.
Works perfectly with my iPhone in a case, charges no overheating.

yeah the wireless chargers are pretty lousy. I also wish they would have just put a monitor in the rear view mirror instead of putting it on the screen.
I’ve seen this reported, but mine work great. As good as any other wireless charger.
