Perhaps more shareholders are not necessarily on this forum. I have day 7 res, a lot of shares, ordered a Beast Friday.

The best part is when people call us poor little shareholders “line skippers”. This is virtual waterboarding!

The program doesn’t exist. Is it not obvious?
It must exist. Tesla announced it, accepted our submissions, sent us documentation proof request emails, and took our documentation. Having us jump through all those hoops 'and' having it be very public the whole time just doesn't make any sense. I cannot accept that they quietly shelved the whole idea. Rather, they must be resource limited or haven't decided how to execute the program yet.

My bet is they got too many submissions - both real and fake - and the IR team is struggling through piles and piles of PDF's.

I may have to make a decision on a vehicle before any news comes about, in that case I have to go with whatever facts exist at the time. Right now, that's nothing so I'm almost forced to go with a non-Tesla option. Fantastic way to treat long-term shareholders!

I do not believe for a moment that anyone would go through pdfs manually. I would write a program to parse them but that is ancient technology. Now you can build an LLM that will consume pdfs, feed it the rules, and then ask if Jack H (me) satisfies the rules. Done by an intelligent AI developer in less than a day.

says the retired AI researcher! :). AI has exploded but not everyone / every company leverages beyond the bare minimum....and they may never as they become irrelevant! But do expect better of Tesla, tech co and all!

I only mentioned it because Tesla is so strong in AI. And yes, I am a retired AI researcher but AI has changed a lot in the last couple of years. What I did/do is build knowledge models and ML uses labels so we diverged paths even though ML could easily have changed their labels to URIs.

I think the challenge with this program, unlike the YouTuber referral points program, is there is no clarity on what "Early Delivery" means nor about order placement timing, delivery timing for already placed orders or any other aspect of this. Heck, we don't even know when those of us who submitted docs almost two weeks ago will get the vaunted email with "next steps". Could be today, could be in three months.
Early Delivery = you get your truck 1 day earlier than whatever day they were going to give it to you. Also, likely 1 day before they update battery chemistry and add new features! ?

This raises some questions…

What happens if you order a Cyberbeast and the delivery is late 24/early 25 and there is an update to the 25’ model year Cybertruck?

If you are accepted into the shareholder program how long do you have to decide to place an order?

Will the program come back when non-Foundation Series trucks are released?

Tesla doesn't do model years like other OEMs. It rolls out changes continuously, though like other OEMs it does refreshes every few years.

Your other points are interesting/valid.

I don’t understand what’s so hard about giving shareholders a simple update? Maybe like, “Hey everyone, we are alive and well. We are currently busy manually reviewing paperwork. Expect an update during the third week of April”. But no, nothing. We don’t know what early delivery even is. Foundation series is considered “early access” according to the email that everyone eventually gets.

What is the true purpose of this program? Is this some sort of way to collect shareholder information for an upcoming vote during the next shareholder meeting?

And yes, while I do have a VIN now, I do wish I could’ve had a Cyberbeast instead. And my brother is signed up for this mythical program… he needs to know if he is getting the Cybertruck in advance, he lives in NJ and FL!

I called a few times and no one has any useful information. I was asked if I put my $1000 deposit yet and I said no because I was never asked to. He said that would be my next step in the process.

So clearly whoever you spoke to doesn't know anything about this program, because they are talking about the ordering process and this program rides on top of the ordering process. They should inform us that, after review of our submitted documents, we either qualify for the program or we do not. If we do qualify they may jump right to the next step, which would depend on where we are in the process. If we only have a reservation they would put us to the ordering page. If we have an order but not a VIN they would presumably shift us ahead in the production queue. If we already have a VIN they would probably do nothing because delivery is imminent.
