It makes more economical sense to me to sell the airstream and buy a Pebble RV that has its own drive train to both assist the Cybertruck while towing (thereby increasing range) without needing an extended Cybertruck battery, as well it has its own auto hitch (really cool to see) and camp park modes with auto leveling, along with V2H support.

I have one on preorder and in the meantime will just use our Cyber tent come spring for some outdoor adventure.

Check it out, if interested. To me it’s like an in the future Airstream but with all the “Cyber” tech perks.
The inside is nothing to sneeze at as well with all sorts of amenities.

For me it will be a Total off grid camping experience without needing RV powered camp sites.
The Pebble is sweet! I’ll look into that! Thanks!

How do you get a dollar a mile? Standard mileage rate was $0.67 in 2024.
It is a heavier vehicle and qualifies for the higher rate is my accountant’s advice. Is she mistaken? I have not reviewed that section of the tax code myself.

I just ordered a FFS cyberbeast with free charging and traded in. Their offer was low by any standard but the tax credit made it palatable. pick mine up next week
They aren’t allowing my existing CT to be traded in. They allowed yours, though? Mind letting us know what they offered?

I tried doing that in Miami, and they did not even want to appraise it; they denied the trade-in while clarifying that they are NOT accepting CT as a trade-in. Fortunately, I could sell my FD series in 83k at a local dealer with 6k miles, fully wrapped, and impeccable condition.

I did take delivery of the CB non-FD. And let me tell you, I was very disappointed, so if you have this in mind, do not do it; it is about 30 miles less in range, and it comes naked, not a single accessory. NOTHING. You get the car, and that's it! So, I felt such a downgrade that I am still very dissatisfied. The only benefit I received was that I pay the same monthly amount for the new CB as what I was paying for the previous CT-FS.

Yea tesla told me they are not accepting Cybertruck Trade Ins.

i was going to trade in mine for one with free charging. It has about 6k miles on it and it arrived at the end of Q3.

I live in Boston and my parking garages are too old to install electric chargers.

I also drive instead of fly anywhere i travel. I took the car from Boston to Dallas and back and several NYC to Boston trips.

beyond this jot budgeting any fuel costs is a nice bonus.

i run sentry mode while it’s parked. Annually charging costs me 6k verified through the app. Over a 10 year period i could save 60k (as long as the car isn’t totalled…i totalled a Model S with free charging and ended up finding an x used that had it and FSD). It can certainly be worth it even with a low offer. The x charges for free and has been very worth it.

It's definitely a downgrade except for the added power. You miss out on all of the standard FS "perks" that were built into the truck.

Not really. It drives the same except for the launch, and think about how often you do the 0-60 launch, maybe a couple of times, and that's it.. during the daily driving, you barely do it, or at least I don't.

For now, the cost for electricity is going up every year for the next few years, especially in California (CEC allows utility companies to screw everyone hard while providing dividends / bonuses annually, even after gross negligence and gov bail out funds!!!

I am optimistic that with the next 10 years (yes, a long time for many) the cost of energy will drop drastically.

I would go for a "foundation series unlimited supercharging offer" for maybe $2 to $3k, even though I do most of my charging at home utilizing 90% solar power as traveling a couple times a year would payback in maybe 5 years and make road trips easier to consider!

I know people that have exclusively charged their free SuoerCharge-eligible vehicles. We’ll see if road-tripping raises any issues, lol! I don’t think so. But maybe powering your home would. Any type of commercial use definitely would, understandably.

I drive 1,000 miles a month just to get to work, so there is that. Any because the GVWR is 7,500 lbs. I can knock a dollar a mile off my taxes for driving it to work as I’m required to be in a courthouse every single day that happens to be 26 miles from my office.

The CT w/ free SuperCharging is a good arrangement for my situation.
Should we start a lawyers with CT club?

No power tonneau cover?
No cabin 120V outlet and bed outlets for 120V and 240V?
No high end audio?

Is the frunk manual or electric?
Does it come with 35" tires?
4-wheel steering with Steer-by-Wire?
Heated and ventilated seats?
Autopilot?
Did they remove the composite bed liner?
Does it still have active suspension damping and adjustable ride heights?
Off-Road modes?

I'm curious why you call it a car instead of a truck. Did they lower the payload and towing capacity?

As to the accessories, I have the Foundation Series and all I would miss is the all-weather mats and the two plastic dividers in the Smuggler's Bay. I do use the roof sunshade in the summer but I'm not sure whether I would buy one or not. I image it would set me back around $300 or so to replace all that stuff.

FSD, voucher/power share, mobile charger, upgraded rims/tires (if you selected), white, etc. are all additional things included as well.
