Anyone have this error? I searched the forum and only saw results from over a year ago, so posting to see if anyone has new info. I'm in the midwest where we just got slammed with snow, so have been driving in some 5-6" snow and ice buildup. Hoping I didn't do any damage beneath the car and that this is just a glitch due to cold weather or something as nearest SC is 2.5 hour drive away.

Could just be really cold oil. Put in a service request via the app and they might be able to diagnose remotely.

Mine went into the Des Moines (Udbandale) service center today for this. The fault popped up on me coming back from Canada to Des Moines IA a couple days ago. They are also addressing a clunking/binding sound that occurs when decelerating and turning concurrently. Also wiper motor, sail covers, and wheel covers. They kept it overnight.

Gotcha. If you don't mind could you keep me updated on what they say about it? Also, do you know roughly how many miles you drove on it after the message popped up? I'm supposed to go on a 500mi round trip this weekend and now quite stressed about it ? lol

It was between 300-500 miles. I’ll know more tomorrow when I pick-up. I’ll get you more info. When I dropped off this morning they were pretty sure it was going to be in-and-out the same day, but they ended up keeping it overnight for the clunking/binding issue from the front end.

IIRC, There was a poster from Alaska (@electricAK I think) that got that error in extreme cold.

Same message on December 31st after driving 50 miles in temps below 3°F. Truck sat outside in some snow for about 20 minutes at 0°F. About 10 minutes in to the drive home the message popped up. I had remembered reading that this was a software “issue” when the gearbox fluid got really cold. Only had 75 miles to get home so just didn’t worry about it. YOLO warranty!!! Stopped in 35°F temp to play with new V4 Supercharger. By the time we left the message was gone and never came back. Figured it would be best/safest to at least get it looked at. Added it to the service appointment already on the books for Jan 16th. The tech I chatted with over message thinks it is temp related. They confirmed today it will be a same day service though I suspect they will keep it overnight. Will report any findings.

I feel like with all the sensors and data we get in new rides with the Cybertruck possibly having more data than any ride on the road we are seeing info that is present in other vehicles but no way to know. I’m sure my 95’ Bronco had some stupid shit happening to it while I was abusing it but it had no way to tell me until it exploded a ring and pinion gear lol

I posted on this few weeks ago, -22F caused it while charging. Was told it was software glitch and they removed it remotely, has not been on since and drove in -33F since.

There was a news report that some early vins had differentials that were under filled at factory, and that was discovered only when ambient temps dropped. No recall issued. Definitely make a svc appt.

Some people had their fluid topped off and it fixed it, it happened to me and I needed the gear oil pump replaced, so it could be a lot of things. When it happened to me the truck went into limp mode after 30 miles, so if it hasn’t gone into limp mode it’s probably just the oil level. Call the service center first, the trucks have KAF1 which a lot don’t carry yet because they were instructed to use their old stuff first but it isn’t reverse compatible with the old stuff and all the trucks have KAF1.

Interesting. Do you have an early vin? Did they give you any guess for the cause of needing a whole new pump?

Hey - I've had this clunking sound. Is it a very low speed (like in a parking lot) while turning, typically shortly after starting a trip?
