Key cards no longer unlock truck

Be sure to disable the Walk-Away Door Lock so it will stay unlocked for them.
I'm more irritated that the car is going to sit unlocked in their lot both before and after service.

Tesla needs to get on this and get it resolved.

Has anybody else experienced this? I went to use my key card yesterday and it would not unlock my truck, tried the second one with no luck. These are key cards that previously worked. I got in the truck with my phone key, then turned off Bluetooth and put the card in the cupholder and it was recognized and I could operate the vehicle, same with the second key card. I could not figure out why it would operate the truck but not unlock it.
I went to my local service center and the tech said this is the third CyberTruck with this issue in the last two days. Apparently it is a software bug.
I’d be curious if anybody else has encountered this and if you haven’t tried your card in a while, try it and see if you’re affected.
The technician said he will put this in the system and reach out when they have a solution but as of now, they do not have a fix.
It happened to me on 1/17/2025
I tried reconnecting all cards and powering off the vehicle
I have a service center appointment next wednesday.

It happened to me last week, I needed to leave my phone behind so I tested the key cards, niether of them worked. I resynced both of them using the touchscreen, didn't work, tried resyncing using the app, didn't work, despite both of them appearing to resync properly. I already had a SC appointment for next week so I think I added this to the list.

Tracking this, I definitely need my cards to work. If it's software, what will a service center visit accomplish?

I highly recommend Apple Watch users take the time to pair their watch to the truck to be able to use it as a backup key if their phone dies.

I have a service appointment with Apple to repair/replace my iPhone and I'm paranoid of being stuck in the parking lot at the mall with no way to access my truck and drive home afterwards.

I don't know WTF they are doing at Tesla but this should be a very high priority bug and they need to get this fixed.

If enough people tag them on X maybe they will finally respond.
And must not be making to Tesla directly as I just called their support line, they hadn't heard, just had me do the standard delete key and re-pair them, power down truck, try again. Nothing worked, so just said get an appointment...oh well. Maybe next software update will fix.

Don’t buy that. There’s no way this isn’t a known issue by this point. They are straight up lying to you. No effin way am I buying that

I originally scheduled this for like a month out expecting there to be some OTA fix they’d push, I just made the appointment so I could get an answer in messages. I mentioned I am seeing many owners on this forum reporting the same problem, so surely this is a known issue and asked if there was a fix yet. They said “that’s interesting we would want to further diagnose this at the service center to see next steps. At this time we do not have any updates on a firmware fix for this

ironically my watch is the only one that’s ever dead. Highly doubt I would ever have that scenario, dead phone charged watch. I’ve ACTUALLY wondered….if those who are having this issue are APPLE WATCH users? Does anyone have this issue that has NOT paired an Apple Watch?
