Tonneau cover gap issue fixed by Service Center under warranty

Well I just made a service appointment for this and our rear passenger parking light will not work unless I tap on the light. Fingers crossed!

Mine had the same, also fixed by adding 2 slats.

Would you mind sharing your paperwork from the service center showing that they did fix the issue and what they had to do to fix it?

What was the timeframe to have this work completed? I would guess about 1-2 days?

Yes 1 day, it was one of a few issues/recalls and they did them all at once.

Its not water proof, but its a lot better than before.

Servic tech just got back with me regarding the tonneau issue. He said they would have to do a water intrusion test before they can make a determination. Stated the owners manual says it is not “water tight” and some water/condensation could happen inside the bed. Will keep y’all updated.

I’m sorry but water intrusion is besides the point. Sounds like funny business. That channel should not be visible hence the rework bulletin IMHO

Correct. Stop mentioning water. Just ask for the service bulletin to be completed.

Was there a service bulletin on this? I tried looking in the service bulletin manual, couldn't find one.

This is what will help everyone!!!! Thanks for sharing. I see it also states to add 1 additional slat instead of 2 as before. It was changed 10-7-2024.

I’m hoping mine will too but I don’t think we have that many trucks in my area so they might not be too informed on this issue. I will definitely do them the link above. I believe the gap mine has is big enough.

Yep. I would think big enough. Mine is the same. I honestly don’t think water gets in my bed, I fixed the rubber seal and seems better but I’d like to do for aesthetics.
