Yep, random people will just give me the bird. It's infuriating cause they are in their Pieces of Sh!t civics and jeeps and I cant tell them that as I drive by in a far superior vehicle. I need a pop up sign that applauds their special car and their concern for the CT lol.
You forgot Subarus too.

I am getting the random loud pickup trucks trying to show off next to the Cybertruck sometimes. Usually on the highway they come next to me and then floor it. No idea who they are trying to impress with that. Luckily they don’t swerve towards the truck any more.

I'm too focused on driving most times to see if I'm being flipped off. I do notice a lot of stares if I take the time to look when I'm pulling a horse trailer or hauling hay.
I did have to deal with a Porsche driver at the feed store the other day. He was looking and I asked if he wanted to see inside. He proceeded to tell me how ugly it was, and how expensive and how bad the battery was, etc. Stuff I'm mostly used to from driving my Model 3 Tesla. When I said I was glad I never had to go to another gas station and worry about my safety he told me I needed to get a gun.
After he brought in another person to double down on how ugly the truck was, I mentioned I found his Porsche SUV ugly and boring. He was livid, which I found so odd. Obviously only he was allowed to voice his opinion. I left as he was jackknifing his little trailer trying to get out. So not all in person interactions are positive. But boy do the kids love it.

I'd say about 60% of people love it, especially kids. They take pictures, pretty women smile, older folks give me a thumbs-up and ask questions, and gorgeous women wave like I’m some kind of celebrity.

Another 30% couldn’t care less. They’re just existing.

Then there’s the glorious 10% who absolutely hate it. And funny enough, there’s a pattern. They’re either walking with no car, looking like life has already beaten them down, or they’re driving some rusted out box that sounds like it’s begging to be put out of its misery. These are the people who will never get to experience a futuristic technology like the Cybertruck.

I won’t lie, when someone flips me off, it stirs something in me for a second. I imagine clipping their chin with a clean K.O., sending them straight to dreamland. But then I realize, they’re not really mad at me. They’re mad at their own reality. Stuck in the past, stuck in a slow plastic boring car, stuck with a mindset that just can’t handle progress. And that’s punishment enough for them
All of this including the percentages square with my reality.

recently just been trying to do truck things with my CT. Like loading river rock and concrete on it. And also doing some off road stuff. But damn I’m getting some hate with people shaking their heads and thumbs down. I mean it’s minuscule. However just trying to enjoy my ride ya know and I don’t bother anyone. I don’t even cut people off. Just sucks. Anyone else getting similar experiences?
I live in the 'burbs of Detroit. I have got 98% praise and love from all the people I meet. Black people especially love my truck, they go out-of-their-way to come and talk to me and wanting a tour of it. I love telling and showing them all the cool features. And of-course the young kids practically worship it. I had a middle-aged guy ask me to take him for a ride (I did), he was flabbergasted.

I can't remember the last time I got a negative gesture towards me. I'm sure it will happen again, but the other 98% of people that love it ~ far outweighs the negative.

I was working the ski shuttle loading people from their cars and taking them to the main entrance of the ski lodge.

On the ride over i was having a conversation with this nice old lady and somehow she started discussing Elon Musks antics, saying he’s a fascist and Nazi sympathizer.

We get to the gate and she points to my Cybertruck parked in the front line and says. “The a$$hole that drives that piece of sh$t truck should be shot!”
I snapped back that was my truck!

The blood from her face drained and i’ve never seen anyone turn so white in seconds..lol.

She gets off the shuttle without looking at me and says “you seem so nice” and walked off.

It was AWESOME!

So if your going to hate make sure you know who you are talking to!
That's crazy! So, let me get this right... She believes EM is a Nazi sympathizer, yet SHE believes someone should be shot for owning a particular vehicle.

Sounds like she needs to look in the mirror for the real Nazi.

I had a middle aged stoner on a bike give me a real animated bird as I waited patiently for him to pass. I laughed out loud because it was hilarious. That was 3 weeks back. I don't notice in traffic any reactions that I remember. One diesel gave a tiny baby puff coal roll maybe 2 weeks ago. That, too, was more comedic than dramatic.

Kids are always a joy.
Seems like older guys, 70+, are the most to express a downer opinion in person. I just try to imagine the changes they've seen from their high school VW bug to the Cybertruck. Unless their really weird about it, I just smile them off.

Thanks for the reassurance. I’m not sure if it’s just the woke drivers or like skeptic old school truck drivers ya know.
The "Woke" drivers tent to give me the finger, because they hate what I drive, and that I support Elon(Even though driving a CT doesn't mean that, or that I do). The get thumbs down from "Real" truck drivers, I usually take this as more of a "I think my truck is better than yours, and your truck isn't really a truck" I see it as more friendly, and when given the chance will talk to them and have an actual discussion. It's almost a friendly rivalry, like Bronco vs Jeep. I've had some real skeptics of the CT change their mind completely, after a test ride and a Beast Mode Launch.
